I have been doing dps in the raidfinder but was thinking about healing. I was curious to know how healing responsibilities are divided. I'm so used to healbotting dungeons but don't know the first thing about healing raids while not wasting heals. I could use my priest, shaman or pally. Any advice would be a big help.

In most LFR situations all the healers raid heal. I have ran LFR so many times on my holy priest and most times looking at recount, all the healers do a good bit of overhealing. my advice is run them and heal away. I am so used to seeing various raid members that during a heal cast time a jump in their health, so just heal as you best can.

well in LFR 2 things can happen.
1. either all healer (or several of them) decide on what each person handles and make it really easy for them too heal.
2. they ignore each other and just heal who ever has damage with no coordination making their job a lot harder (as far you can call LFR healing hard)
i just trying be one of the 1. that way you know what you have to do that run and focus on it.

Honestly I just say screw the healer assignments and try to keep people's health up as much as possible.

Healing assignments aren't too big of a deal in LFR. The best advice I could give you would be just join and find out for yourself! The damage taken in LFR is pretty miniscule.

In most LFRs that are not run on Tuesday/Wednesday, you have 6 heals signed up, of which 2 will dps, and 1 will be afk. So the 3 of you that are actually competently healing will have enough to do to keep everyone alive. So just do that. Heal everything. Tanks don't take so much damage that they need a dedicated healer assigned to them all the time.

I just heal who ever is lowest health that I see at the moment. Look for health bars going down in vuhdo and I tag them. If I am pally healing I will put beacon on the tank. And if I know damage is coming or his bar is coming down too fast I hit the tank with whatever I have. You try to keep an eye on your tanks and other heals, but really it is just heal whatever is going down. Also focus on top dps if you have to prioritize.
