So the Challenge modes will be the true heroics insted? :)
Yes; since the modes normalize gear and you have a time limit.

I thought maybe one of you has been in beta and know a little about this.
What I'm wondering is if there is some challenge in the dungeons for tank, healer and damage dealers when you go thru them the first couple of times with the gear you earn as you level up compare to what we have done before in Wrath of the Lich King and Cataclysm.
The levelup dungeons I did were very easy in MOP. The very first thing I did when I joined the beta last week was to queue for a random dungeon. I entered and was late, the others were already a few pulls into it and facerolling it pretty bad. I got locked out of the first boss(brewery), but the other 4 cleared it with easy.
But really the thing I liked was that the mechanisms were ´slower´ to matter, so you could learn them during the fight without wiping. Big contrast to most of the bosses in Cata where you simply learned by wiping... and then even sometimes not learn. Don´t get me wrong, I loved tanking some cata dungeons like Oz, or the one where you have to dip the boss into the forge to melt his armor... but those mechanisms had to be learned by wiping, not by reacting. Mop dungeons felt a little looser, like you had time to look around and see what was happening, react to it, and not wipe because you did it wrong the first 5 seconds. Oz... turn him wrong the first time, and you kill 4 people..haha

I actually kind of liked this about Cata heroics. I mean, they obviously wouldn't be good in normals where you're still learning the stuff, but I loved that the heroics actually felt
difficult
after the years-long faceroll that was Wrath dungeons.
Then again, I always liked to consider heroics kind of an in-between step between hitting cap and raiding, so the mechanics having to be taken more seriously in Cata seemed like a great intermediary step to help people not only get up their gear but also their play styles for the higher content.
And while I really love the idea of the challenge modes, by (apparently) making the heroics easier the gear rewards are the same but that mechanic awareness is less present except for in Challenge Modes, but those lack the rewards... I just woke up so maybe I'm crotchedy and not making much sense, but hopefully you understand what I'm getting at.

I've ran both Scholo and the Scarlet dungeons on heroic, Both are tuned really well. Scholo is a bit too easy for a heroic imo, Just doesn't have the threat of dying. The Scarlet dungeons are tuned really well and feel like a heroic.
