KC Confusion

So I'll at least be trying out BM tomorrow, and the way Kill Command is worded is bugging me out. "causing your pet to instantly inflict damage to its target." The way that reads makes me feel like i don't need a pettarget macro to prevent my pet from running all over the place if I myself am switching targets. For example Heroic Zon; if I keep my pet on Zon during black phase while I'm hitting adds, will my KC casts cause my pet to KC Zon or will they fail and/or cause my pet to swap targets because its not within 5 yards of whatever flail I'm targetting?
Also if the answer is yes it will fail, then is this the macro to replace Kill Command will on my action bar?
/cast Kill Command

This makes the next action the pet does a Kill Command, regardless of what target it has. It will strike the target it has acquired, which, chances are, is your target.

Actually, looking at beta, it will attack a target based on the stance it is in.
If it is in assist, it will see your KC as a command to switch targets to you current target, so I would leave the conditional in there (it also helps prevent random pet charging in because you accidentally hit a button - after all itsbetter to accidentally pull, than to have your pet pull)
Also, it is not "the next action", it is instant, it is counted as a hunter shot in that regard - the only delay would be if the pet is out of range, so it has travel time.

Well except on Assist the pet would probably be attacking your target (or about to).

Often, yeah, but since Assist has become the new default for many, it bears specific mention. (IMO)
