Ok, so 5.0.4 was released yesterday and I thought that I'd do some archaeology. When I got to my first digsite I was just going about it as usual, but then I noticed that I got 6 digs on the site. First I thought that I was lucky and got a new digsite on the same spot, but when the same thing happened on my next digsite I started thinking that it's been a "stealth buff" in the new patch.
Just thought that I'd share it with you guys and some feedback would be nice.

Additionally, I was at 495 arch with a character and solved a rare, putting me at 510. After that, common solves netted me either nothing or 1 point instead of 5. Haven't had a rare in the 500+ range yet to see if/how those have been changed.

I can confirm that we seem to be getting 6 digs per site now.

Just to add to what I've found, I solved a rare at 524 skill (fossilized raptor) and got no skill points for it, just the mount. 495 still gives full points for sure and at 510 I was getting 0/1, so I'm assuming 500 is the break point where you start getting 0 or 1 points for every solve. If that's the case and you're starting a fresh archaeologist, do your first solve at 49 skill instead of 50. Save a rare solve until 499 skill if possible to minimize the slog through the last few points.

So instead of a stealth buff... it's a stealth nerf?
Archeology was pretty slow to begin with... why would they do this?
They don't want you to save up 200 fragments in each type so that when Mists dropps you just solve all them and instantly have 600 in archy.

umm the six digs wasnt stealth , read the arch reveiw for MoP on the general forum , its been there for quite a while .
As for the other issue I would have to agree that its so you cant save up fragments and level straight to 600 , seems first aid also has been put through this as on my toons dence embersilk bandages is now grey and someone also reported that all cata mining modes are now grey as well

Also since the Darkmoon Faire's in town, if you're leveling an archaeologist right now remember to save your monthly quest with them until you hit 500+ skill, it'll save you a handful of solves.
