Zones that takes longer to load are most likely Cross Realm Zones (
More info
).
It is an inconvenience but it hadn't cause my game to actually crash or DC yet.

I just logged onto an alt that is parked in Stranglethorn, took about 45seconds for everything to load up, but it was mostly fine afterwards.
I've been getting some LUA errors from some of my addons (SLDataText in this case), could it be that several addons are causing errors and crashed your WoW?

There seems to be a lot of confusion about Cross Realm at the moment, compounded by lack of Blue references.
This
is the best "list" I can find - but it is from Beta feedback, so pinch of salt and everything.
From personal experience, Outland is the continent where this problem is at its worse for me. It took me what felt like a full minute to accept a summon to Terrokar Forrest (Stuck at 50% for a long time).
Yesterday, when I teleported to Shattrath, I had to wait a while to get NPCs and textures to load up, then when I flew to Blades Edge, I was hit by invisible walls (where there shouldn't have been) and became stuck and had to teleport back to Shattrath to unstuck myself.
What I don't understand in this problem is that we seem to be encountering the same issues, but yours are much worse than mine.
My suspicions are that it has something to do with your WoW folder (some corrupted data somewhere) - but I can't really pinpoint in what way. Maybe WoW Tech Support may be able to help here?
Edit: I just got myself back in Outland - this time, no real trouble to speak off. Could be that the game requires a one time, load every data and texture phase? This is confusing me even more.

I have been having the same issues, everytime I go to a diffrent zone can't even quee in for dungeons because it takes so long to lag in and usually get kicked from group and the same with bg's and then get labled a deserter. This patch as given me nothing but headaches to t he point can't even play it. I can't even get it to upload on this comp and had to use my old one and that one just stated doing the samething as this one and the luncher quite working, at least I can login using the the game in the files but still have to deal with the critical crashes. I am truley at a lose on this everything they have recomended to do hasn't worked and I am scared to unistall it on the other and end up like I am on this one and can't even play after reinstalling it. Hopefully sometime this week I can talk to a tech by phone because I have run out of options using the ticket system and still can't play.
