What is the go-to source for stat-weights and all the math behind it for MoP and forward, I used to look at Elitist Jerks, but the tanking side of the forums is a ghost town.
Where does a dedicated prot warrior go to find the bleeding edge of tank theory?

there are prot discussions going on at tankspot. the site was basically founded as a prot warrior site, although it's grown up a bit around that.
i don't know if i'd call it "bleeding edge", but nothing wow-related is all that active these days...

Icy-veins is a site used by all classes gives a breakdown of all stats, reforges, macros, addons, gems, talents, etc. They now are teamed up with Askmrrobot as a quick click stat suggestion, (they use to use wow reforge) I personally preferred Askmrrobot over wow reforge all this time.
Everything below this is a discussion, you do not follow it, it is just a suggestion on warrior/(also paladin) tanking stat weights and such.
If you use askmrrobot, know that the stats are based on level 90 theorycrafting, you may have to change some presets or modify the stat weights yourself if you want to do some theorycrafting of your own. Right now; as a warrior tank myself, I got rid of some of the mastery we use to stack so much, in replace for my parry and more dodge (took about 10% mastery in exchange for 7% parry and 3% dodge.)
Theorycrafted stat weights are like this at the moment. Str is now are main stat, reason for that is because survival abilities like Shield Barrier (the absorb spell, is based off of attack power to improve the absorb), we can now use Recklessness a bit more freely now, (gave a 20% damage increase to yourself before, we used it before for a boost in threat for a pull, but lots of people did not use it because you had to change stances, as said it not longer increases damage taken and can be used in any stance. WARNING though, it shares a global cooldown with Shield Wall, you can not use Shield Wall til Recklessness falls off.)
Our next stat priority is now Parry=Dodge>Mastery, as of right now it is nearly impossible to do this though, (at level 90 it will be possible), as such at level 85 it is said to have Parry= 2xDodge, I have 27% parry and 13% dodge on my warr, (was the best I could do to get them like that.) My mastery is currently at 38%, I think that is plenty, you have to put all stats in prospective, having more Dodge and Parry = no damage, block = reduced damage, before we had to reach the "avoidance cap" it does not really mean what it says though "avoidance cap" is 102.7% which required very specific reforging to insure that we did not waste too much points into mastery, but we had to use mastery to get to this "cap."
Now we are more free to stack parry and dodge, allowing us to avoid deadly melee attacks. ( Example: with this patch I can easily solo tank all of DS, I have enough parry and dodge to avoid Blackhorn's Sunder Stacks in order for it to fall off.) Which before my Druid was able to do this instead with his 48% dodge, one big point though on the Parry=2xDodge, I have to say dodge rating got a big nerf, my druid currently has 21~ish% dodge, and now has a move like the old Shield Block, (the druid spell increased change to dodge by (40%?).)
So I feel in my own words that Druid tanking is more like old Warrior tanking, and "New" Warrior tanking feels like Warrior tanking back in BC. Hope somebody looks at this prospective, and gives their thoughts, or you can read my first few sentences and decide on your own of what you want to do.
