Okay so I am pretty new to WoW. I have created a Resto/Balance Druid and I am currently level 50. I have reached level 50 without a single professions. Which 2 professions are the best to choose and which would you recommend? I am not experienced so simple explainations would be great.

It depends. If you want professions that fit the flavour of a druid then something like herbalism/alchemy or skinning/leatherworking would suit.
If it is gold you want to make, then you are probably best to concentrate on gathering professions only (at least until you hit level 90 after which you could switch to a crafting profession); skinning/mining would be a good combination as you can only track one type of resource on your mini-map - herbalism/mining would not be a good choice for this reason.
On the other hand if you intend levelling other characters and you want to support other characters with your professions then the likes of blacksmithing, enchanting and jewelcrafting also become viable as these are very expensive to buy at higher levels, but it is generally not recommended to level these professions too early due to the cost of materials; wait until you have a bit more gold behind you.
Or you could just ignore all that and just level what you feel will be the most fun.

I must admit I would be looking forward too free things like mounts or companions. I also liked the fact that LW gives Bigger bags however without skinning it isn't that great. Is tailoring better than LW? Is inscription any good?

I wouldn't recommend tailoring unless you intend to sell everything you make, druids wear leather and tailoring makes cloth items.

Multiple resources can be tracked on the minimap. My druid is an herber/miner and has been doing this for some time now.

If you want to make gold, choose two gathering professions (these are mining, skinning and herbalism) and then if you want change one for a crafting profession like alchemy, enchanting or jewelcrafting. I believe those are always in high demand, but it depends a lot on the economy of your server.
If you want to make your own armor to start running dungeons or PvPing: choose leatherworking. This can be combined with skinning so you can gather your own mats.
For what it's worth, my lvl 85 Resto/Balance Druid has herbalism almost maxed out and is currently leveling alchemy.

Herbalism & Mining would be my advice, maybe skinning if you like grinding mobs. Druids make great gatherers with their instant flight form, and since you're new I'd assume you don't have the piles of gold needed to level most crafting professions. Gather herbs & ore, sell on the AH, and buy crafted items from others if needed. MUCH more efficient than crafting yourself.
At max level you might want to switch to crafting professions for the perks (
typically 320 int
- not much but something. You'll also get cheap leg enchants as a tailor, extra benefit from potions as an alchemist, or gadgets as an engineer - afaik the other professions do not have benefits beyond the stats for a caster druid), or keep the gathering professions for money & getting mats for alts.

the efficient way i've found is to work on lvling your toon first to cap, then go back as max who can fly and ignore/slaughter lower mobs and take gathering professions (ie skin and mining) and farm up all needed mats to then max their actual profession. (for prev example LW/JC)
*at least until you get enough characters high enough to cover most/all of the professions.
