Last night my guild attempted Stone guard... went horribly for more reasons than this however.... looking at the logs for us as well as other people i noticed something really strange. And a good reason maybe why we wiped endlessly without progress. We were getting overloads at 250k damage before mitigation. however when i look on logs i found guilds that barely took 100 or 200k overall from numerous overloads. Confused as hell i looked up some stuff, and found this
Amethyst Overload which clearly states 120k. but look at our logs and we were taking 250k. logs can be found
here. For easy to determine numbers look at attempt number 4, and the damage taken. Someone didnt use the called for cooldown and so the full blast was taken showing its true damage, at 250k on most of the group.
Was this a bug that we were getting hit so hard? maybe the game was giving us heroic damage or something? Or was it a ninja nerf that they did late last night? I couldnt find any of the logs for those top guilds that downed it earlier in the day for us however to determine whether or not they received the same damage, aka why im curious, as well as wondering if anyone else was being hit by a freight truck from these overloads, when the damage should have been less than half of what we were getting hit for.
edit: after just logging back in after the reset i checked the dungeon journal, which also says 250k from overloads, however the tooltip here says 120k, and that 120k makes a lot more sense considering some of the other logs i saw.
edit 2: just so you guys know what im talking about, just picking one of the guilds i saw on logs taking almost no damage would be
this one for instance.

Look in the dungeon journal, its 250k for all the overloads. Its not a very hard fight, on our kill we just staggered their explosions then grouped them all together and cleaved them down with aoe heals.

You are doing the fight wrong. You are only meant to overload the Guard that is turning you to stone,
because while that Guard is turning you to stone, you take 90% less damage from its Overload.

Also, if you have Jasper, wait until Jasper Petrification to break all the Jasper Chains you have out. This is also true of activating the
Cobalt Mines, vis-à-vis Cobalt Petrification. (If you have Cobalt and Amethyst on the same week, you can quickly run out of room if you don't do this)
