Well pretty much considering how Aspect of the Hawk is effectively a damage buff, why not make two other Aspects that are (damage) buffs and treat them in a manner similar to armors?
For instance, Aspects can provide buffs in this manner (obviously subject to balance):
Aspect of the Hawk: 3% crit. Critical damage for master and pet increased by 10%
Aspect of the Fox: Enough mastery to provide the equivalent of 3 points of mastery. Offensive abilities cost 10% less focus for master and pet.
Aspect of the Serpent: 3% haste. 10% bonus Focus regeneration for both master and pet (yes this is technically redundant with a haste buff but too much ranged haste will inadvertently increase ranged attack rates too much).
Another alternative is to make Aspect of the Fox into a true defensive aspect, causing damaging effects while crowd controlled (including slows) to be reduced by 15%. This effect would stack in a multiplicative manner with Iron Aspects to prevent Hunters from having too much damage reduction.
In either case, Aspect of the Iron Hawk would just become "Iron Aspects" and provide damage reduction when in any aspect (with a probable nerf because flat 15% damage reduction might be a tad high - also excludes Cheetah and Pack).

Movement impairing reduction?
No. That seems too powerful for another ranged dps to have (assuming you're talking about Ghost Wolf). I briefly considered it though.

Interesting idea, but it brings the table the question of why we will still HAVE aspects once this change happens.
If Fox gets the boot, having only Aspect of the (Iron)Hawk is pretty redundant for a on-demand passive, so it might either go the way of Trueshot Aura and just permanently be on, or the 10% attack power might be an additional "hunter only" bonus against marked targets on top of the bonus that already exists.

Or we could totally use my idea or the numerous other ones being suggested on the Hunter forums atm =).
Incidentally, one thing I would like to see is Aspect of the Cheetah and Pack being replaced with non-Aspect utility that is similar.

Well what I found out today after like 8 or so months brake is that they made aspects to count as stances. Now I wonder how many years will it take them to make aspects persist through death and to be uncancellable. Because my chim/expl shot macro is still spamming screeching sounds, a bit less often now, maybe

@Lands that screeching will be unneeded with 5.1, as you only have the one aspect to worry about for most things.
As to the 3 different aspects, 3% crit/mastery/haste - yuck, thats not choice, and it snot enough to even worry about "here is a free 1800 points of itemization @90" - why. 10% AP is actually something, and having 3 aspects with each of the secondary stats that cannot be capped, just means we will be balanced around having that much more crit/mastery/haste, meaning we will not have an actual benefit from it.
Make it 10% and it becomes a good choice - at least insofar as mastery and crit goes - 10% haste isn't a whole lot, though it all adds up.

There's quite a bit wrong with your analysis there...
Firstly, the 3% (or whatever equivalent) of secondary stats isn't the only thing the aspect would provide. That would be stupid and lame. This is why I added an additional effect that could tip the scale into something of a decision-maker (harder crits? better focus sustain? etc). This was largely inspired by the current Mage armor design, though the secondary effects beyond obvious stat bonuses are original.
Secondly, there is no class to my recollection that gains such a massive secondary stat bonus as great as 10% unless it was a raid buff. 10% haste would actually be devastatingly massive to the point it is highly likely to cause imbalance.
