The IP lock should be easily resolved with a confirmation via email. However, if you're still living at the same place, the server will not lock your account, all it does in this situation is request the authenticator code again - which it woulf anyway in your case of absence for a while.

It may, but then you just go through the recovery process to prove it's you; all you need is the first 6 numbers/letters of a CD key to open it back up and change the password.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. With an authenticator on your account, it's business as usual.
Without one on your account, they'll (possibly) suspend your account and send you an e-mail with how to restore access.
Verified this by moving from the US to Japan (entirely different IP address).

It may cause issues. I have seen this when traveling for work and logging from different areas of the country. If the IP did a minor change and appears to be from the same geographic location it should not even cause an issue. I know last week when I was working third shift from the office and logging in via mobile hotspot via my cell phone, when I went home and logged in there it did not even request to re-authenticate and my office and house are 60 miles apart.
