You can use the disks that you purchased... or you can download via the Blizzard Account Manager page.
Easiest way, in my opinion, would be the Blizzard Account Manager. Go to
http://us.battle.net/wow/en/
and click 'Account' on the top right. Log in or create an account, add a license key (presuming you have one) and then you will be able to download the client.

The trial version of WoW only applies to the account type. The game itself (as in the software on your computer) is always the same for all account types.

Not entirely true. The trial account runs off a slightly different software. For example, you lack certain textures. (If you go yo Orgrimmar, the Windriders will be giant green blobs.)
