A test before you can join a random LFR, where you have to show you can read and write in English.
And for LFR, if a person is afk for more then 5 minutes auto kick them.

LFR - A mandatory 5 min pause before you can pull again after a wipe.
Seriously, I didn´t mind wiping repeatedly on Galaron... what annoyed me were the rogues and hunters that were screaming ´ pull already´ after a wipe because nobody had been assigned to pheremones and most people didn´t understand any of the mechanisms (this was the first week).
If you wipe in LFR, it is because a large number of the people don´t understand the fight.. not just one or two. And even still, if you wipe, usually you are going to lose a bunch of people, so the new people will need time to have it explained.
The other solution would just be to have dps auto-ignored in chat and unable to tag a mob first.

I would like to see a "rookie tag" on players. Automatic in LFR, and ability to toggle by raid leader in Normal, so you could see at a glance who, and how many players on on their first run in a dungeon.
Now, to combat insta-kicks, I think those with a rookie tag should get at least 1 attempt on a boss before allowing a vote-kick, maybe even 2.

At least allow me to hit esc and skip that crap, I hate being forced to watch cinematics, I swap out and check wowhead or whatever until it's over.
I haven't given much thought as to whether I personally like or dislike cinematics, but I never understood why they're included in instances and raids when there is the option to skip. Did Bliz actually think that at the rate groups are zooming through, anyone would be given the opportunity to take their sweet time to watch them without the group running ahead and leaving them behind?
I remember the first time that cinematic popped up in the middle of Throne of the Tides, I've never watched it once
because
I knew no one would wait for me (regardless of whether I might have liked it.... every single time I ran the freaking instance). Then there was that one in the middle of DS. Hell, I've not been given a mana break since maybe wotlk, no one's gonna be like "let's wait an hour for everyone to enjoy the epic cinematic."
Give people more things to actually do other than their standard role.
Not to whine but I actually really dislike this as well. This is a bit like when they got heavy on gauntlet mechanics in wotlk, which I always found annoying. If I wanted to sign up to play a different role, I'd have signed up to play a different role.
At the risk of being called an Elitist, I really think it needs to be harder, on every level from dungeons to Raids. I'm just tired of seeing players in raid with zero skillset to cope with what is essentially basic mechanics. (Make them complete a tutorial with a 1 player version of the current raids before they are able to queue for them.)
The one-player thing is actually not a bad idea at all. I think I personally would like that because it lets you mess up without the pressure of ruining it for the group, while you learn what things are like. I do watch videos/read tutorials prior to going into a raid the first time, but I find it's not enough to really prepare you the first time in a raid. Raid Finder does help with that though. The downside is that I imagine if it were mandatory, it could get really annoying for some people the way that mandatory starting zones are annoying.

by "more" cinematics i ment like have them more epic and not like a video like the lich king and deathwings fall. more like while your fighting the boss you might have nickelbacks "hero" or shinedowns "sound of madness" while your fighting the boss. i like to roleplay and it makes the boss more intense. besides when im doing these mop raids i sometimes fall asleep. thats why i spend my weekends soloing onyxia or slaying the lich king. its fun.
