So i thought i'd post this here first, before official site, as there seems a more...mature, bunch of people on here ;p and wanted reactions prior to posting there
So i've been thinking this through for a while and i don't see too many negatives (imo)
so here goes.
Once a toon is Valor capped for the week, 50% (or less?) of the valor that you "could" get if you weren't capped goes to your alt toons, that way it's not quite so bad if your main is exalted, and you're doing dailies on an alt instead.
Another idea; If you're playing a toon that is exalted with the faction that you're doing dailies for, 25% of the base rep (no commendation doubling etc) is given to characters of honored or above reputation with that faction.
Also, once valor capped, that toon should get Justice points after each daily instead of nothing.
Lemme know what ya think!
I came up with these ideas, since many people are complaining about MoP being alt-unfriendly (and i agree)
EDIT; post had been deleted by sister when i got called to pick a friend up.../sorry for deletion.

I don't think you should be able to earn JP/VP or reputation for your alts by doing things on your main. The double reputation gains and +50% VP gains you get on alts (assuming you are capped on your main) are boost enough as it is.

Well to me the idea of having to grind (even at 100% boost) Cloud Serpent rep on every single toon to be able to use mounts that are account wide is silly and could, possibly should benefit from extra gains.
It just seems to me that as they introduced the account wide stuff they appeared to want alts to be like an extension of your main toon with shared achievements, titles, mounts etc, so a natural extension of that would be shared rep.
Don't get me wrong, I think the way they handled reputations and their rewards in MoP is horrible, and having to redo the terrible daily grind on all your alts, even with +100% reputation gains, is not a solution at all.
Since mounts, pets and achievement are account-wide now, the only reward you get from doing all the dailies on your alts is access to the VP gear and possibly some recipes if you need them, which I don't think is a fair time/reward trade-off.
However, he was saying that when your main is Exalted/VP capped, your alts should get some reputation or VP from dailies you do on your main. If you are Exalted/VP capped on your main, why are you doing the dailies on him and not your alts that still need rep/VP anyway?
Personally I think they should remove the reputation restrictions from VP gear (the weekly VP cap is enough of a restriction in itself) and make recipes BoA so you can just get them with your main, and not have to do dailies for a month to get 1 recipe.

I think a lot of people should ´try´ to actually grind the reps on an alt with the bonus before they complain. It is absurdly fast and easy. At level 84, if you go to dead waste and start questing, you will be revered well before you hit level 85. With the new faction (domination), the ´storyline´ quests open up so fast that you barely have to do any dailies.
Cloud serpents were very fast even without the bonus, but do you really want to have all your alts on the same mounts anyway? I have 10 characters above 85, and one of the cool things for me is to have them all with a different mount and vanity pet.
to the poster above me ´having to redo the terrible daily grind´... for what? I got my third character to 90 last monday.. I haven´t done a single daily and I almost have the ilvl to get into the Terrace. For professions? take a look at the AH.. the stuff you can make with rep recipes sell for the same price as the mats used to make them. My main is an enchanter.. the bracer enchants sell for less than 2k and take 3 crystals.. which sell for a little more than 600g...
There are little things that are ´nice´ to have.. but reps are absolutely not required on alts except for very minor things.
I don´t think the devs are going to allow rep or VP earned on your main to ever go directly to an alt.
The one change I would like to see is that bonus thing we earn for VP ( 50% bonus for your alts).. be applied for the week AFTER you cap. Usually I pace myself on my main, and only cap VP on Monday.. which means the 50% bonus lasts less than a day on my alts. But that is minor
I think the big thing all of us need to cool off on is this notion that our alts should be as progressed as other people´s mains. My main has enchanting.. I am cool with the fact that for a few months I will have to buy my leg enchants from some other player who has LW on his main.. and my own LWer won´t get those leg enchants until much later in the expansion. I am cool with the fact that my healer alt will never have all the 489 rep rewards, but instead will have to wait for drops from LFR.
The problem isn´t with the expansion or the mechanisms, it is with people who think they need to have everything possible on every one of their alts.

I need only one thing on all my alts: Bag pattern on my lock. Which needs Celestials exalted, which needs golden lotus which cant be started before 90. Already have 30 imperial silk, but still can't force myself to get the lock to 90 and farm the dailies on another char *sigh*. If the silk wasn't BOP I wouldn't mind.
To be fair though bag patterns have pretty much always required a reasonable rep grind.
and I'm in the same boat. I have no love for that rep grind chain.
I can't really think of any previous expansion bags (regular ones, not profession ones) that had any rep grind even remotely comparable to the one from the Celestials. The Cata bag was simply bought from the vendor, the WotLK one required Knights of the Ebon Blade at Revered which you could get in a day and TBC was a vendor one as well if I recall correct.
In addition, previous expansions always had a cheap bag for the majority AND an expensive bag for those who really wanted the extra space. In MoP, we only got a really expensive and hard to get one.
(Going by memory here, if I'm wrong please correct me)

You got me there, absolutely forgot about the bags. That will be a end-of-tier project for me... and I think the devs are really trying to stress that they are vanity items, and players should be making better choices about what they need to drag around eveywhere.

I suppose they consider 22 slots to be enough and 28 to be obscene decadence. :)
I can recall seeing responses from Blizzard about how they do think the storage system feels outdated and clunky. This expansion especially has added tons of vanity items, even as quest rewards, yet storage space increases only by 2-4 slots per expansion per bag.
Personally I'd love to see a tabard and Tier closet as those items fill up the majority of my space.

I agree - or maybe a vanity pet or item you could carry (similar to a repair-o-bot) that acted as a "Valet". Perhaps a lesser
Schematic: Jeeves
or somesuch? Make it BoA and not quite as expensive to build (perhaps 5 repair bots and a few L90 gems?). Once you've built it you can summon him like a companion pet (no cooldown, self only) and restrict his holdings to only tabards/engineered stuff/trinkets/rings/etc. and maybe provide a repair or a refreshment (IE: you get one heal/mana biscuit every 1hr or some such)
