So I'm looking into maybe (big maybe) making a comeback. I don't have a system to play on right now, but I have considered buying one.
I feel like buying an Alienware laptop straight up would be a waste...but I like to have a rig that can run with all setting on max at a solid ~60 fps while still have a browser and possibly a few other programs open in the background (word processor, iTunes, Pandora, etc).
What are the minimum system reqs I would need to make sure I hit?
Alienware computers are awesome...I just feel like it would be a royal waste of money...because I feel like you pay 20% of the price just for the name "Alienware."
Thanks for any and all helpful replies =)

System Requirements
Here is what you need to run wow mop, both minium and recommended. Just check out recommended and maybe some better and it should be okey to run wow.
You do not really need a great computer to run wow on, even at high settings. So if you think it is a waste of money get a decent computer just and use the money on something you rather want.

Thanks for the link, I couldn't find that info when I looked. Though I'm quite rusty with the WoW website anymore...
Building one myself isn't really an option.
But my question has been answered, thanks =)

Currently, I play on a Lenvo t520 and have everything cranked to max and am loving it. As for the Alienware brand it used to be awesome. Now you are just paying for the name.

From the system specs I think you could go to most computer stores or online and pick up one of their systems for around $500 and run Wow just fine. I guess the nice thing about going for more is you will be set for the new games coming out later.
I think a big killer for many is their internet connection.
Yeah, I suppose that's true. I will typically have an outstanding connection though, so that's not a problem.
The only game I ever play on my PC is WoW. Other than that I'm a PS3 guy.
Thanks for the advice, though =)

If you follow the specs given you'll be set up for years.
My current rig was top of the range 6 years ago and can still run WoW on max settings.
(I upgraded the GFX card due to a fault)
But beyond that I'm probably good for another 5 years if the thing holds out that long. I pretty much only play WoW, or rather WoW is the only must have game.
Yeah WoW is hands-down the best game I've ever played as far as fun and the people I've interacted with. Mass Effect 3 is second, followed by Battlefield 3. WoW blows both of them out of the water, though.
It won't happen any time soon, if at all, but I've been thinking about it lately, so I thought I would look into it.
Thanks for the pointers.
