I kill them all the time at 87 in Demo spec. My strategy is simple: send in my Wrathguard first, lay down Curse of the Elements, Agony, use Hand of Guldan, and then Shadowbolt until Soulfire procs, use Soulfire, make sure that Agony stays up, and then at 900 Demonic, metamorph and lay down Doom and use Soulfire when proc'd, and just use Touch of Chaos if Agony is about to fall off.
I haven't have a bit of trouble with any of the rares. Just stay back out of their AoE's, and if your pet dies, use Demon Rebirth to bring it back instantly.

Well, if you're Demonology-specced, you can take Shadowfury and your Wrathguard can also stun. If you want a true interrupt, you can take a Felhunter instead for Spell Lock.
If you're not Demonology, you can take Grimoire of Sacrifice and Sacrifice a Felhunter to gain their interrupt. That talent also gives you a passive healing rate to help you stay alive through the damage being on you instead of on a pet. Combine that with Shadowfury for decent results, as long as you do use cooldowns effectively below a LFR gear score.

I kill them as demo. I use a void (just because I'm lazy) and stand as near as possible myself without getting hit by the kick.
I stay in normal form. When heal comes, I go meta, move a bit closer and cast Carrion Swarm (does spell interrupt). If needed I heal pet while flying kick is busy.
A lot of times the heal cast comes immediately or shortly after the flying kick.
Maybe another solution is to use Felhunter pet and cast command demon for spell lock to interrupt the healing cast (I never tried this though, so no idea if it works).

My strategy is as follows (spec doesn't really matter but affliction is probably my preferred with instant pet heal):
Summon felhunter used for interrupt.
Set up demonic gateway with around 15 yards of distance.
Pull panda to one of the gateways.
When the panda starts to cast the heavy AoE spell teleport away; then move back to melee range as soon as the cast is over.
Use pet to interrupt the heal.
Repeat until dead.
When you teleport away the pet will get aggro so make sure to keep it alive. Also, having the talent Kil'jaeden's Cunning makes it easy to continue DPS'ing while moving back into melee range.
