If you are having this much trouble separating WoW from your real life...time to take a breather. Install the parental controls so the game automatically kicks you off at specific times. Go outside, go play, go to church, go find a girl/boy depending on your preferences. Just go away from the computer.

Well, there are a couple of ways that you can deal with it if you feel that it's become an addiction.
The first is just to try and be aware of the problem (which you now seem to be) and keep that awareness when making daily decisions about the game. If you know that you are not meeting responsibilities because of the game, then you have to have the willpower not to play until everything else is taken care of. If you know that you have a tendency to be distant from people because you would rather be playing, make a conscious effort to correct that. If you are in a guild that requires 4-5 nights a week raiding, and have zero tolerance for absences or AFKs, you may either need to see if they will let you cut back, or just find a different guild that is more casual.
If the first fails, the second would be to have someone set up parental controls on your account- on an e-mail that you do not have access to, and limit your hours per week. If you know that you have to raid 3 hours a day, 2 days a week, then have the person in charge of this set it to 10-15 hours a week or so, so that even if you wanted to play more you couldn't. It will force you to ration your playtime to a reasonable amount per day, or per week (not sure how it's broken down).
If you find that you are not able to handle the limited playtime- if it's causing you to no longer enjoy the game, and causing friction between yourself and the person who is helping you set the controls- then the best option may be to unplug. Some people can only handle all or nothing- we lost a healer in my guild recently for just that reason. It may be that you need to stop playing entirely to regain control of your life.
In any case, real life has to come first. It's completely possible to fit wow- and even raiding- into life without letting it affect your responsibilities. But it's not possible for everyone, and the important thing is that you're honest with yourself about what you need to do to get things in order.

there are 2 way to handle addictions. use new addictions to get rid of ur past addictions. you can be addicted to working hard and getting money. you can be addicted to the golf resort, but need funds for it and you work hard at it. things like that. but to completely drop an addiction and fight against it, it's still there. and at one point, u will lose, or succeed.

Face, I like how you, the master of ninja deleting your posts, removed the one suggesting a hot, sexy girlfriend.
We all have gone, or will probably go through, at some point in our lives, addiction. Sounds like you have a bad case of the WoWbug.
Fear not! You have already reached the hardest part of addiction; realizing you are addicted. You are already missing your friends, your faith, your life.
Do as the others have suggested. Install parental controls and have the game shut down to limit yourself. Create a schedule for yourself; if you need to get an agenda or a calendar to carry around, do so! Write down time to spend with your friends, family, and faith.
WoW shouldn't be life consuming. Unless your a pro and play for a living, there's no reason to spend so much time on it. It should be looked at as a hobby. Your life is your life, and you live it the way you want to, but remember that WoW is temporary and costs money, and friends, family, faith, and love are free :)

You don't have to quit completely. Just try allotting an hour a day to real life activities. Inform both your guildies and your family that you will be free at that time and try to log ten minutes before that time starts. Draw up a plan for what needs to be accomplished: a project you're working on perhaps (believe me, feels like such a relief when you have it done before the deadline), or you could help around the home. Your parents will almost certainly appreciate the gesture and see that you're making progress.
If you find that you can't take the time out for even an hour a day, then perhaps it is time to make a clean break.

I'm sorry, but are you saying you will pay for advice on how to not be addicted to wow? I have a foolproof way. Unplug your computer. Open up the case. Spray it with a hose. Your wow addiction is cured.

I'm of the opinion that these days WoW is comprised largely of the unemployed masses. I personally only play when I have vacation or something.
Also, I don't think WoW is as addictive as it used to be, it's just much more boring now.
