"Boss, how the fel are we supposed to assault the keep?" the deathstalker in front of Aaron asked. "We're not," came the obvious answer. "Assaults are for armies."
Vanessa, still circling above, now went into a steep dive down towards the group.
Aaron shot a quick glance above and then turned to the undead elf. "Interrogative. Do you have a suggestion on a plan, ranger?"

Jack made her way to the area of Valiance Keep that had been marked out for training soldiers. The War in Northrend would need every blade, even a new one, and those men and women would need at least some experience before they were thrown headfirst into ravaging undead armies. The area itself was little more than a dirt rectangle blocked off by fenced of hastily tied rope, training dummies set up along the edges, but it did its job.
Standing around the edge of the training field were a number of highly decorated field officers, one of which was an impressively armored man in an eyepatch she figured was the Commander himself. At Arlos' side stood another man, slightly shorter, with greying hair, spectacles, and richly tailored clothing. Whoever he was, he certailny was a man of very fine taste. Stacked across from them were the crates of her weapons.
Jack clapped her hands together, "Well, nice to see everybody important could make it. Let's get started before it turns out we're under attack or something. I won't be letting the Scourge stop this demonstration if I have to."
The men eyed each other warily as Jack walked over to the crates and undid the locks on one of the top ones.

If the Vice Admiral was amused, he didn't show it, quickly continuing, "Reconnaissance is the main thing we need. Anything you can gather about these Vrykul that we don't already know about them. How many are there, what are they hiding from us, and how can we cripple them.
"Aside from that, what are their plans and where are our men? If they're all dead, so be it, but if they're being held captive or being tortured we're going to have to deal with that as well."

"We've been meaning to press an assault for some time. Our manpower isn't much, but we should be able to hold their attention from the front," Keller stated, pointing out the river on the map. "They've kept us on our side of the river, but if we press into the woods on their side we'll have an advantage of cover. We'll have to pull out eventually, so you'll need to be fast getting in there."

"Not really." Loki sighed. "The ingredients aren't hard to get but only mom knows the recipe so it's a slow process. Even with Sasha and the other demons helping she can only make a couple cauldrons at a time and most of that is going to the argent crusade. What she doesn't sell to them the rest goes to SI:7 and any other special forces."

"We could use our dargonhawk rider to scout the exterior of the keep, mainly to find as many entryways as possible and then return then we sneak in using one of the newly found entrances, a very basic plan." Falionna suggested with her arms crossed over her chest.

"Very basic. Simplicity is good," the deathstalker nodded.
The dragonhawk rider in question was now descending upon them with great speed. Seconds later her great beast stroked its wings intensely, bringing them both to hover a few yards above the others in a powerful gust of wind.
"Mrs Bloodwatch, got any news for us?" the call in Orcish came from below.
"Clear high and low," Vanessa replied, leaning far out to the side while only holding lightly on the reins. "Valgarde seems to have had trouble earlier today"
The riding party looked to the west, where smoke was beginning to rise dark and thick. "Don't they always?" Aaron called up with a chuckle, on which he received no reply. "Can you scout closer to the keep?"
The elf tugged lightly on the dragonhawk's harness and was once again climbing, off to reconnoitre the looming fortress.

"Ahriman," Marcus said, reentering the inn. "There was another in the jail. I found him in the process of reanimating an executed prisoner. I found a document on his person stating that there's at least one more in the city."

The elf continued to build altitude until she was high above the Fjord's bluffs and out of reach of any land-based weapons. The dragonhawk flew like a bird of prey, catching the updraughts like a sixth sense told him where they could be found, and when Vanessa gave the command to stop the climb he began a slow, steady, circling descent.
She surveyed the landscape below with her sharp elvish vision, making a pass as far away as Ember Clutch before returning northwest. Over Lake Cauldros she began a dive, inclined on trading altitude for velocity before closing in on Utgarde Keep.
Meanwhile on the ground the party made good time north, passing east of Baleheim.

Jack opened up the top crate, removing a large firearm about the size of a shotgun, and held it aloft for the gathered men to view. The armored men muttered amongst themselves at the sight of the sleek gun, some recognizing the draenic inspiration from their time beyond the Dark Portal. Some passing soldiers and civilians stopped to see what was going on.
"This is a gun. Now, you're probably thinking: 'Jack, we have plenty of guns and good riflemen to shoot them, why are we spending Stormwind's treasury on
your
guns?'. Which might be a decent question if it wasn't a stupid one," she explained. The woman reached into her pocket and pulled out what appeared to be a magazine, though it was in a translucent casing that revealed the violent, violet energies crackling within.
"For you uneducated louts, my company back in Stormwind was researching magical weaponry since before the Dark Portal opened. Afterwards, and as a result of a partnership with our draenei allies, we were able to make leaps and bounds in research."
She noticed that the man in the rich suit seemed to grimace at the explanation, though she dutifully ignored him as she continued, "As a result, I can now bring to you firearms with the destructive potential of magic, without having to spend years reading dusty old tomes to acquire it."
