"Okay..." Quiz murmured to himself, sitting cross legged on the ashy ground, arms crossed before his chest and head bowed thoughtfully. Arrayed before him were the items which he had managed to scrounge from his escape pod. His lab coat he had discarded, the heat from the nearby lava flows not exactly rewarding his attire, leaving him in a thin flak jacket that could maybe stop a feather if someone only blew on it a little.
"Okay," he repeated because it bared it. He reached forward and picked up the first item before stowing it in his bag. "Medical kit, which I don't know how to use? Check. Pistol, which I don't know how to use? Check. Three spare ammo clips which I don't know how to load? Check. Dry rations that taste like cardboard? This I do know how to use, check. Binoculars? Check. Copy of pin up found in locker? Check. Data slate with important files? Check.
"Tragically," He said, rising to his feet. "I think that about covers it. Now..." he looked tot he smoky horizon. "...where the hell am I going?"

"She damn well should, or I'm gonna haunt her. Reverse-haunt her. Whatever," Greg muttered, following Eva.
"A scanner, Nora," Alistair spoke from behind the medic, reasonably far enough away not to get hit by something heavy again. Hopefully.
"It is not bloodied, but it is fully functional," he added, holding up the device.

Nora turned part way to look at Alistair and narrowed her eyes, "
You

to get some sleep.
Doctor's
orders!" regardless she did snatch the scanner from him, using her free hand to hold William down as she panned the device across the engineer's body.
"And no, you aren't dead yet," she replied to Triberk, "though you very well might reach that point if you keep flailing about like your head is cut off."
"... what about turrets?" Harvard asked the SCV in front of him. The man was poking his head out of the construction suit to answer the officer's question, looking more jittery than the average person had right to be.
"Lot of the missile turrets were crunched in each other, ain't gonna be a short time to get those workin' again. Perdition turrets mostly made it but we ain't got the fuel stores to keep'm running, 'specially if you'd rather keep the firebats lit up instead," came the anxious reply.
Aiden grimaced, with a low grunt of frustration, "I want two bunkers on each of our sides. North, east and south. After that, use some scrap metal from the ship and erect a barricade between the checkpoints, nothing sneaks in without us catching it."
The SCV twitched a bit before looking around, eventually nodding, "Aye... aye, aye, sir," he stated, before scuttling back into his suit. He pulled the hatch down and scrambled off with the orders, leaving Harvard to survey his surroundings.
At least, until Eva approached, rifle braced against her shoulders before stopped and came to attention before the officer, "Aiden."
The officer's normally stoic composure broke into a brief smile that came with a brief tilt of his head, "Eva," he said, "what brings you--"
Harvard's question died as he looked beyond the Ghost at Mandrake, and let out a low breath.

While the devil on his shoulder performed a short yet passionate victory dance at the sight of Aiden first brightening up, then visibly sagging at the sight of him, Gregory held up his trophy.
"I'll be brief. Natives regenerate. Worth looking into. Got many wounded. Any free science officers?" he asked, looking at some point above and slightly to the right of Harvard's head.
"I can still help," Alistair repeated his mantra, walking away from Nora.

Triberk coughed, not quite beleiving what he was hearing... or seeing, for that matter.
-
Eastern Plaguelands
The scourge shambled along, the massive scar left in the land leading them towards the crash of the massive metal ship. Pot shots echoed out, undead falling amongst their many companions as the forces attempted to take the crash.
Bunkers had been set up and stationed, the Dominion having fared better than other crashes due to its more advanced technology, although it was still in nothing if not bad shape. Injured marines, unlike the Raider's forces, were stationed on the front lines alongside uninjured ones, many shooting with one arm, or struggling to shoot with nearly countless injuries.
One could only wonder why the scourge were throwing themselves at the ship with such ferocity and numbers.

Harvard took a few moments to process exactly what Gregory was inquiring, but that train of thought was mostly cut off by him spotting the severed head the Spectre was carrying. Aiden stiffened, looking over at Eva with an eyebrow raised and eyes wide (though, to his credit, he managed to keep the rest of his expression fairly neutral.)
"He brought a head," the officer stated flatly.
"Yeah, he brought a head," the Ghost responded. "He's telling the truth though, the blood's regenerative. If there's a science officer on hand he'll pass it off and see if we can do anything with it."
"I... see," Aiden eventually admitted, prying his eyes away from head and searching around the blackened crater of their crash (strewn with all sorts of large pieces of shipwreck.) "Most of them have gone out seeking samples in the jungle, but one or two might be back in the lab--figures it's one of the only things not completely ruined--studying them."
Character
: Abygail Daybreaker, Rygos, Tiagosa
Location
: Light's Hope Chapel, Eastern Plaguelands
Light's Hope Chapel, a gathering point of members of the Argent Crusade and the Cenarion Circle in the fight against the blight seeped deep within the earth of the Plaguelands, now bustled with frantic conversation about the flaming metal leviathans that had come crashing to the ground. Abygail Daybreaker, pushing her way against a crowd heading towards the cathedral, wasn't a Crusade paladin, but nonetheless had gotten summons to lend aid regarding the issue.
The woman sighed, crunching green grass under foot. She was average height, tan skin and black hair falling past her shoulders and curling at the ends. Her justicar gear and the greatsword strapped to her back gleamed in the harsh blood sun. Abby wasn't a woman for long debates and discussions--what most of the gathered representatives were involved with over the issue. Instead, she was going to make her way to the crash personally, hopefully to find survivors and figure out exactly what had happened.
"Ready to go?" a voice came from her side.
She barely had time to reply before the two kids were already there, bouncing impatiently to get moving. The one who spoke was thicker than one would think someone his age should be, with short cut navy hair and similarly colored eyes. The chainmail vest he wore under his black tunic was rattling with every fidgeting movement he made. A smaller girl stood in Rygos' shadow, her short, pale ringlet curls framing a pale face and light blue eyes that were nervously looking about. She didn't say a word--not that Tia could.
"Remind me again why I agreed to let you guys come with me?" Abygail asked.
"Because you're the best aunt ever?" Ryu replied with a bright grin.

The other sister hung further back, her wheelchair generally causing a hard time when attempting to make her way through large crowds of people. Dark blue hair was cut into a bobcut, and a loose shirt and pants covered her form as she looked on excitedly.
"Come on, let's get going before they decide to send someone else!" Pray commented, smiling.

"Seriously, what is it with you people?" Gregory wondered aloud. "By my last count you've directly killed two hundred and seventy six terrans - and that's not taking the infested ones into account, - maybe a fourscore protoss and that lyote that slobbered on your turtleneck. And a head of some alien gets that reaction from you?" he jabbed an accusing finger at Aiden.
"Whatever. If you need me to do something before I find you, you know how to find me," the Specter then told Eva, nodding at her curtly before walking away.

"It's a... head," was all Harvard managed to get out, before setting his head in his palm and sighing. "Just get to the lab rats, alright?"
"Aye, aye, cap'n," Eva replied, hooking an arm around Mandrake's and leading the Spectre away from the exasperated officer and towards the wreck.

"All right, all right," Abygail said. "Tia, you're going to stay with Pray. If anything happens, Pray you call for help, okay? Ryu, you watch our backs, I'll watch our fronts."
Tia bobbed her head in understanding, taking a position behind her sister in case she had to help move Praegosa's wheelchair. Rygos saluted his aunt, and followed her towards the exit of the Chapel borders.

Frederich Savin
The
Prometheus
, Cape of Stranglethorn
"A moment", Frederich called from somewhere beneath a desk in the back of the room when he heard footsteps entering his lab. More than one, but not many, moments later a man appeared. A dirty, olive drab boilersuit sat loosely upon his tall, gaunt frame, pockets and belt weighed down by all manners of tools and instruments. A pair of welding goggles rested on his forehead. Wild hair, some two inches long and dark blond (beneath a layer of dirt and grease) stood out in most directions save for downwards, and from beneath a pair of rectangular glasses a set of blue eyes peered at the ghost and the spectre.
"How can I help you, gentlebeings?" he asked excitedly.

Whatever Eva's intentions were, a rather goofy ear-to-ear grin appeared on the Spectre's face when his arm and hers intertwined. He even decided to forgo the opportunity of taking another jab at Aiden, even though many a target presented itself, ranging from the intelligence officer's disregard of fashion and going all the way up to his disrespectful way of addressing the scientists.
Thus, Lieutenant Mandrake, content with his life for the moment, walked down the wrecked corridors of
Prometheus
. To all things comes an end, though, and so it came to the closest thing he would probably have to a romantic stroll with Eva for the foreseeable future.
"Hey there, Fred - you are Fred, right?" Gregory spoke when they stepped into the lab. Though his merry drinking days have mostly faded into the past ever since his indoctrination into the Spectres, he still held many a memory of partying in the cantina to remember the faces of the majority of the crew, if vaguely.
"I'll cut to the chase. The natives here can regenerate, they look humanoid in appearance, and so I bring you this to see if you can do something with it," Mandrake said, holding up the head.

"I am," Fred inserted before the spectre continued explaining his errand.
"Ugh, biology.
Xeno
biology, even. I hate biology," he commented sullenly, dragging a hand through his hair (leaving a trail) and peering curiously at the native's head. Suddenly he shone up, as if coming to some insight, and grinned widely. "I'm on it at once!"
He stepped around a heap of computer parts, circumnavigated a workbench and approached the other two...three...whatever.

"They are an odd bunch," Eva whispered to Gregory, rubbing her forehead. She dulled the continuous stream of surface thoughts, if only to spare her brain from the influx of math and science that was occurring.

"Can I have that now?" the scientist said, expectantly reaching for the head. "I'm sure you have some kills to kill or something. Come back if you feel the need to wipe the planet rather than maim these ugly gits one by one. Have some tea, by the way, before you leave. There's a jerrycan somewhere around here."

"Tea? Hrm, tea," Eva mused. She leaned her rifle against the wall nearest to the door and looked around for the beverage container in question, allowing Gregory to deal with the head and the scientist. Tea was nice, especially after the long hours bouncing between trees and sniping natives.

"If you spot a lactating animal, please bring it back alive. Unless it's a spider. Then kill it with fire. In fact, torch the whole area in that case," the scientist said, taking the head and returning a thumbs up with his free, left hand. Suddenly raising his voice drastically, he called "I'M OUT OF MILK, MISS! THERE'S SUGAR IN THE AMMO BOX ON THE SHELF," turned on his heel and waltzed off to some (presumably cleaner) table.
