We can see my cleric admiring himself in a mirror, and we can see that his handsomeness gives off an actual radiance.

So I was doing quests earlier today on my GWF, and there was a rogue around. She was 4-5 levels lower than me, but three-shotting those tough-type monsters that are a tier above fodder. It took me a good rotation to get those things down. This is truly ridiculous. I'm rolling a rogue.

I would advice against it.
Rogues are seriously TOO powerful, I highly doubt they're gonna make it out of beta without some significant whacks of the nerf-bat. Mark my words.
Everyone and their mom is rolling rogues, I can't deny the class has fun mechanics, but their damage is ridiculously strong. I just did my first dungeon (or at least I think I did. Are skirmishes the name given to dungeons here?) and 4 out of 5 in my group were rogues.
I would advice on rerolling something other than GWF due to how stupidly weak they are at the moment, but going with the obvious choice may have some nasty consequences later on.
I'm sufficiently content with my guardian. My damage isn't that bad, my survival is HUUUUUUUUUUGE, and my role is highly sought after :P
As for GWF, I just thought of a good way to fix them while giving them a niche to fullfil in the game.
Currently, the roles are:
Guardian: Tank.
Cleric: Heals
Rogue: Single Target DPS.
Mage: AoE DPS and Crowd Control.
Problem with this, is that the only single-target DPS class in the game is melee, and the only AoE DPS class in the game is ranged. A good fix would be to buff the damage of GWFs, and give them plenty of crowd control abilities, and aim them at being a melee version of the mage. Then add a bow class like the ranger, and have that one being a ranged version of the rogue.
This game is lacking on a good AoE melee class, and a good Single target Ranged class.

I think I'll have to stick my hand up here and say that I also rolled a rogue though I didn't realise how stupidly OP'd they were until I saw a few non-rogues struggling against mobs that I took down easily. I love the animations of the rogue though I am still struggling slightly with the way that the fight mechanics work as the automatic keybinds don't seem to feel that intuitive yet and I forget which button does what. Still I am having a blast and just want to say thanks for whoever originally posted about it.

I want to make mine like a combat rogue from WoW, but I'm terrible with all the different confusing points I have to put in skills and trees and stuff

I like this idea. The lack of a Ranger really does seem odd and this idea would be a neat fit.

The trouble is that there aren't alternative Paragon paths in the game
yet
so each class only really has one major way they can go. Sure there's a surprisingly broad amount of options within that path (I can make a DPS GF for example) but the Paragon paths are like WoW specialisations and the TR's current one, Infiltrator, is basically a Cunning Rogue. Luckily though, the Stealth mechanic is really pretty fun in this game and built properly you can spend most of your time in stealth.
Skirmishes are smaller group content with Dungeons being proper dungeon crawls with a few bosses - I actually fought a Dragon the other night. It kicked my arse ^_^
I'm not really seeing more TRs than I'd expect but I am seeing less GWFs... a LOT less. There's consistently more than one CW is the runs I do so with my own bad survey I'd say they're quite strongly represented.
Got put into another Dungeon without a Cleric last night. Was all fine until the last boss when I simply could not stay alive without player heals. The group, which consisted of 3 CWs and a TR, managed to do the last 60% of the fight without me... that's probably indicative of a broken system in some way.

Has anyone else noticed that it takes a bit of time to get used to the controls or is it just me?

I thought you were going to go on about people who have no idea how to heal.
That's what always forces me to go a healer, I just get really frustrated by people who can't heal or tank.

Having played a bit of Tera I found it quite a smooth transition. Though I feel like it's much easier to play (certainly as a tank) with the FoV set to 80 instead of the default 55.

This may help as the other thing I've noticed is that if you try to avoid a group I don't realise that I've aggroed them until they are behind me and I notice that I am getting hit.
I think the targeting and key-binds will start to feel more natural the more I play.

An arrow slinger is the class that's currently unavailable at the moment.

Well, I hope they're going the direction I suggested. And make that arrow slinger (Be it ranger, scout, harper, whatever) the ranged version of the rogue(High single-target burst), while making the GWF the melee version of the mage(crowd control, and mass AoE damage)

Somewhat unrelated to what we're discussing, but, apparently you can use a game controller for this game. I mean, I can't actually purposefully assign functions to the buttons, but somehow my attack got mapped to "Joystick 7" when I created my character, leading me to believe it's possible somehow. Also, the controller was lying on the floor, upside down, and plugged in, and the right analog stick was tilted which made my camera turn around.

Right in the middle of Dungeon Delves too. Luckily we'd just finished the first boss (and I got some boots ^_^). Would've been gutted if it had been mid fight.
