Mable pushed her way through the crowd, most cluing in that the mechagnome was not a safe object to presently be around.
Beep. Beep.
The Forsaken, on the other hand, moved in the opposite general direction towards the robot--in order to grab Shi'Ra by the forearm and yank the troll woman away from Monogear's corpse.

Light and heat filled the room as Monogear exploded, sending pieces of flaming metal shrapnel in all directions. Theradin shielded his eyes with his arms, far enough away to merely risk being blinded by the flash instead of actually harmed.

Olet Hopewell, Shi'Ra Spearfall
Entrance Hall
Olet backed away; ducking quickly back into the dining hall and dropping to the floor; hands held to her ears and eyes squeezed shut.
"Eh?" Shi wondered, being pulled up and back by the undead woman as the beeping grew louder. She was still far too close however, the light suddenly filling her vision as she felt head and stabbing sensations, barking in pain and anger.

Falionna raised her arms to shield her face when the machine exploded. After a few seconds when the explosion was gone she lowered her arms and inspected the scene.
Noergel on the other hand was quite safe behind the statue, and he also decided to stay there a while longer.

Conrad paid for his stubbornness. Even though he leaped agilely out of harm's way, a razor-sharp metal sliver tore a singed-edged hole through his pants and left a gash across his right calf. The fact that the wound was immediately cauterized offered little solace.
Tsubedai crossed his arms in front of his face and shut his eyes, a wave of heat washing over his forearms. Fortunately, he was far enough away to avoid the salvo.

Poking his head out after the dust had settled, Arthur took a look about. "...Anyone dead?"
Zeeta graoned from her place on the floor. She slowly raised her arms, wincing at the cuts from the shrapnel which had scored angry red marks along her green flesh. Her dress, what little there had been to begin with, suffered as well with numerous cuts along the fabric.

"Not more than usual." Replied the dark ranger dryly as she pulled out sharp metal scarp out of her body.
The Shadowmage poaked out his head and then walked out of hiding. "Anyone in the need of assisstance?" He asked.

"What the fel was that," Theridan whispered, trekking across the entrance hall floor to the blackened tile where the charred, twisted remains of the mechagnome were.
Mable pried shards of shrapnel from her skeletal body, and dusted the ash and soot off her clothing, "Are you all right?" she asked Shi'Ra, but kept her eyes on where Monogear had been moments before.
Theridan knelt down and examined the area, "So. We killed the annoying bucket of bolts. Does that mean we get to leave?" he demanded to nobody.

Shi'Ra coughed; laying on the floor. He dress was almost entirely gone; bun marks and cuts covering her, and shards of metal sticking out of cauterized wounds, melted to her flesh from their own head. "Damni', mon. Damni' all."

"You retard!" Conrad roared at Shi'ra - and, to an extent, at the pretty smear that Monogear left on the floor, - having to lean against a wall to stand without shaking. His leg throbbed in pain and the only release he could find was in venting some steam.
"Nice %^&*ing job, troll $%^&* with ogre's %^&* for brain," he hissed, his face reddening ever more with every word.

Keradaa had hid back in the Guest Quarters, and so was safe from the explosion.
Even so, it sent dust everywhere. How unsanitary.

"I'm no healer," Mable murmured, bending down next to Shi'Ra, and looked up as Ashorn approached.
At Arthur's question, Theridan stood up and turned around to check the doors to see if, perhaps, they were free now.
"Of course the door isn't open! I said you were staying here forever didn't I!?"
Theridan froze, looking over his shoulder at the stairway. Monogear was standing at the top. The human flinched at the sight, immediately looking down at the remains of the Monogear that had exploded... which were still there. He looked back up at the mechagnome, eyes shining yellow, in front of the second floor gate and his eyes widened in disbelief.
"And how disrespectful! Is that any way to treat your host? Violence against the host, me, is forbidden! Against the rules! Consider that demonstration a warning! Next time, I'll be sure to take you with me," Monogear's face flashed a menacing orange, before cooling back down to an amiable green.
"Now where was I? Oh yes. Forever!"

Tsubedai lowered his arms slowly, blinking at a fast rate as much from the residual effects of the explosion as from the sheer astonishment at the sight of Monogear reborn. Reborn? Remade? Reconfigured?
"Maybe we will go away instead?" he suggested.

Monogear turned his head to look at Keradaa, warning her with a brief yellow light before excitedly returning to his previous speech, "What are you doing here? Well that's simple! You are all here to live a peaceful life together with other races, even from the other side!" the mechagnome cackled.
Theridan clenched his hands and felt his face heating up again, "Is this a sick joke? I refuse to take part in this madness!"
The mechagnome's face colored blue and he held up his hands as if in shock, "You hurt me! I've prepared this wonderful place for you, offer to make your life peaceful, and you can't even get over yourselves to accept it!
"Well fine! If you want a way out, I will give you a way out!" Monogear returned to his neutral green, but his permanent grin seemed almost more insidious. "Yehehehe--but you'll have to earn it!"
