Will WoD be the last expansion?

It seems like whoever's in charge at Blizz decided to jump the level 95 expansion and head straight for level 100.
And no mention of the titans, Old gods, and very little of anything other than metzen having another thrallgasm.
Bleh. There's exactly 3 non-orcs in the list of major players there.
On the other hand, it's nice to know more about the light and it's origins.
But still, NOTHING on slyvannas paying the piper, nothing on the refuges of Theramoore, nothing on the fact that there's no reason left for stormwind and ironforge to not storm undercity with the horde broken, no reason for garrosh to be in our face another expac, no reason for the complete and utter lack of Turayalon and Alleria.
And we get to play buddies with the murderous scumbag who stabbed the lion of stormwind in the back.

o_O are you kidding me?
I thought you of all people would be giddy with anticipation at this expansion, given that the main objective of it is to kill orcs aplenty, something I thought you enjoyed far too much.
And no mention of the titans, Old gods, and very little of anything other than metzen having another thrallgasm.
yeah because obviously an expansion where the whole point is to anihilate 90% of the orc population AGAIN, is just metzen having a nerdgasm.
Bleh. There's exactly 3 non-orcs in the list of major players there.
And there is exactly ONE non-villainous non-alliance character in the list of major players there. Your point?
But still, NOTHING on slyvannas paying the piper
You already got to invade a horde capital (for the second time) and now you wanna go 3 for 3? sheesh man.
nothing on the refuges of Theramoore
What's there to know? they fled, they're in stormwind now.
nothing on the fact that there's no reason left for stormwind and ironforge to not storm undercity with the horde broken
how about trying to avoid reigniting a war that ravaged azeroth, and ended many innocent lives along the way? Now that the war is over, they're gonna solve their beefs with diplomacy, rather than brute force. Didn't you read varian's gossip text after SoO is over?
no reason for garrosh to be in our face another expac
This is the one point were I agree with you, I really wanted that cancer to die already and stop infecting the story, but look at the bright side, they promised Garrosh wont be redeemed and this expansion WILL mark an end to his story. They said it would be a satisfactory ending for both sides too.
no reason for the complete and utter lack of Turayalon and Alleria.
Hmm........ we're visiting the PAST version of Outland, you know, BEFORE the alliance expedition went in there in the first place, heck, before the alliance even existed in the first place. They really have no reason to be there. No reason at all.
And we get to play buddies with the murderous scumbag who stabbed the lion of stormwind in the back.
There is no such thing as "The Lion of Stormwind". Anduin Lothar was the Lion of Azeroth, and for your information my good sir, Orgrim Doomhammer did NOT stabbed him in the back. The two had an honorable one-on-one duel, and Doomhammer won.
If you were talking about Garona, not only its unlikely alliance players will interact with her, but also her slaying of King Llane wasn't her fault, she was mind-controlled by Gul'dan to do it, and she was crying as it happened and has lived in regret and remorse ever since.
If anything ,you should be happier than ever, since this is the expansion were you get to settle scores with Gul'dan, the REAL murderer of King Llane himself. He's even part of the alliance starting zone for crying out loud.
This entire expansion is a huge giftwrapped hug for the alliance, you get draenei lore galore, you get the pristine Temple of Karabor as your capital city, you get to butcher orcs by the thousands AGAIN, and get to dispatch the worst orc to have ever lived, Gul'dan.
And you're complaining.
Wow, some people just can't be pleased.
In regards to your original question, no this is not the final expansion. They've said that the story of WoD is gonna spill over to the next expansion after that, and that they have multiple expansions planned already. As long as people keep playing wow, they're gonna keep developing content for it.(##RESPBREAK##)520##DELIM##Rankkor##DELIM##

Levels don't really mean all that much; and the whole 'Blizzard only wants to have level 100' rumours are just that: Rumours. It's never once been corroborated by the Blizzard higher ups that they are just going to stop at any specific level cap.
As long as the game provides a profit, you'll see expansions, as Everquest has already shown.

Just so you know. In the What's Next for WoW session, they said they have Expansions loaded up like bullets in a six shooter. And, they said that the events in WoD will spill over into the expansion after that.

Indeed they did. Was just about to point this out.
Nice personally meeting you at the pre-party Lanky. Enjoy the rest of BlizzCon.

Finally, a chance for those who ignore the lore to do some reading. But, this expansion looks GOOD.

Why do people think it can't go beyond 100? They're even implementing that jump to 90 to make that number less threatening to new/returning players.
They switched to 5 levels per exp for Cata and MoP only - maybe they were already planning MoP, but didn't want it to be the expansion that went to 100, and rather do that in the following one.

Besides this a level cap at 95 just seems weird.......it's too close to the magic number 100.

Unless content patches brings something more epic than Orcs, Dranei and Ogres into WoD i cant imagine that it would be the last expansion.
I always imagined that the last expansion would be totally bizarre, demons, scourge, time travel, stupid massive retcons, azshara, old gods ressurected deathwing all and everything into a total chaotic epic and outrageous mix that would make lore-geeks cringe. the world of warcraft shouldn´t "end" with a whimper but a explosion.
This feels like a build up, that they are withholding something more epic.

There are so many cliffhangers, plot threads and stories left hanging to not continue with them. Queen Azshara, the Emerald Nightmare, the Whispering Forest, N'zoth, Nozdormu and the Infinite dragonflight, the fate of the Titans (Chapter III: Two Princes has some sort of hint about this), Sargeras and the Burning Legion returning (along with Turalyon and Alleria!), as well as many other characters missing. I could go on, but won't.

Perfect post Rankkor!

Almost perfect. This isn't a coup for the Alliance. We would like some actual character development for our leaders, and things to do that don't actually involve Orcs. How about just one freakin time, the Horde can tag along on our storyline and expansion instead of vice versa.
Edit: Oh nevermind. Who am I kidding? Metzen has made Thrall the centre and purpose of the Warcraft Universe and that is
never
going change You just watch. He'll strike the killing blow on Sargeras.

And you did. MoP saw plenty of that for Varian and Moira (Along with character derailment for Jaina and Tyrande U_U)
And now WoD is having more of that with character development for Velen, and the draenei in general who've needed a MASSIVE amount of love for the past six years.
and things to do that don't actually involve Orcs.
Like what? The whole reason the alliance exists is to fight the horde. Without orcs to battle, there would be no alliance. We saw that pretty clearly in the second war, after the alliance won and there were no enemies to conquer, it came this close to dissolving, and going into infighting.
At least the bright side is that alliance players keep getting orcs to kill. Meanwhile when was the last time we horde players get to battle an evil splinter section of the alliance? never =(
How about just one freakin time, the Horde can tag along on our storyline and expansion instead of vice versa.
How about Wrath of the Lich King? That was for all intents and purposes an alliance story. We had a villain of alliance origins, that harmed the alliance far more than the horde, the entire campaign against him was led by an iconic former alliance figure gone neutral (Much like Thrall did in cata), and featured an alliance city as a central hub. Northrend was a pretty alliance-centric expansion. Even the Vry'kul were revealed to be ancestors to the humans, and the entire shenanigans with the titans also revealed TONS of lore for the ancestors of the dwarves and gnomes.

ugh, not this again :S Was Thrall the central figure in WOTLK? no. Was he the central figure in vanilla? no. Was he the central figure in TBC? no. Was he the central figure in MoP? no. Just because thrall had ONE protagonic spot in cata (which was relegated to 1 zone, 1 questchain, 1 dungeon and 1 raid) doesn't mean he's suddenly the center of the universe.

And two books, magically holding off Jaina's tidal wave in a third, and taking the spot of Deathwing as the Earth Warder for the final fight well....It's a valid complaint Rank.

Who cares how many levels there are? They need to fix stats otherwise dps will be measured in millions. Hell, I already see 1mil hp unbuffed tanks.

So far the item squish is in effect for the demos at Blizzcon.

I respect your opinion but I disagree with it. Its not the severity or the impact of his actions, its the quantity that matters. He has never been featured heavily before or after cata.
For that matter Medivh set in motion a lot of major events, but other than Warcraft 1 and Warcraft 3, he really has had no involvement wit the plot at all.

They already did an item squish, all the abilities showcased in blizzcon were in the 4 digit range, save for a scant few in the 5 digit range (often those were heavy CDs)
I'm however not happy about that change. I like to see my numbers get bigger each expansion, not smaller. I'm gonna feel sad about having to see my 900k Obliterate Crits go to 9000 crits. That's just not fun.

What we would really like, Rank, is for the Horde to have to react to us. Our actions and little development have either been reactionary to the Horde or participatory with the Horde. We are constantly playing Defense and never get a chance to play Offense (and SoO doesn't count as offense as it was participatory with the Horde). Southern Barrens also doesn't count as I am referring to an expansion desire not just a handful of quests in a zone you visit for an hour and never go back to; in other words, things like that are mere scraps, crumbs from the table.
We want something big, something that makes the Horde rock back on its heels in reaction to something we decide to do, some grand story line that does not originate with or from a Horde character, something that does not require us to fight a common enemy.
We want our turn to drive the story.
