Return to board index
This totally helped the issue I was having with wowhead not seeing a valid executable in the World of Warcraft folder. Just changed the value to be the correct location and blam! Workie. Thank you.
Invalid status code: 500
im getting an issue where its saying my username and password is incorrect. i used this on my old computer but having difficulties on this one.
I had to delete the WoW Cache folders.
After playing a WoW session (client closed), I tried to upload my data with Wowhead addon client.
At the end of the upload I always get an error message since then.
Is there something I need to consider addon wise (like a reinstallation is necessary etc.)?
Sorry, working again seems to be the problem
just was the coincidence of happening when I also deleted the caches of WoW.
I'm also getting the "Could not find your World of Warcraft live folder" issue. I know it's a known issue, and that's fine I understand. My question though is does that error just disable me from launching WoW from the Wowhead client? Really as long as I'm still adding the the database I'm happy.
Downloaded the latest client and still getting the invalid path for Live and PTR. It detects the Beta install just fine.
The Beta and PTR are on the same drive while the Live version is on another drive.
I am getting the error for not finding the game exe file since I've upgraded to Windows 10 two months ago. In the meantime, I have uninstalled, re-installed and re-downloaded the client but to no avail.
After getting used to using the awesome tool, it makes me a sad panda not being able to use it anymore.
Can we get a fix soon, please?
I'm having the before mentioned problem of the invalid path message, though it seems to upload everything except the Items and ADB files.
My Items say it's 16% uploaded and the ADB files says 3%, The rest has all been updated to 100% after I click on upload.
I'm on win 7, having the same error with the client not being able to find the live install folder, but it's also not uploading my heirlooms. In the client itself it says there's 691 items, 201.3 KB and 0% uploaded, and also 7 ADB files, 225.1 KB, 1% uploaded. Dunno if that helps with anything, just throwing it out there!
Authentication fails with a 100 character long password. Changing my password to only 25 characters long fixed the issue.
It is amazing that the error "
Can't find the WOW folder"
has not been fixed for SO LONG!
I have encountered this error. No solutions worked. So no data for Wowhead frome.
And fresh data is so important at the beginning of an expansion!
Same problem with the WoW path but I
upload the Data so it's not a big deal.
Fix this broken client please. Why isnt it uploading ADB or loot or items?
Wowhead looter is causing the game to slow down/freeze whenever the transmog window is open for me.
I know you guys are working on this, but man it's frustrating.
This expansion is more full of hidden stuff than I've ever played before, and the devs have made it clear previously that they rely on the fact that there's third-party websites we can find the info on. So when I'm desperately searching for How to X, and Wowhead has no data because the client isn't working... if I'm lucky I can find others sharing anecdotal information, but that's not really what I come here for.
Without data, Wowhead becomes just another bunch of forums. I don't want Wowhead to fade away :-\
I think there's a misunderstanding here. Only an isolated number of people are experiencing the known issues outlined here... we're receiving a vast amount of client data on a daily basis right now. If you're getting the path error the client is usually still collecting data and you should be able to upload. The only exception if you're in the even smaller group of people who can't even install it. I apologize for that but rest assured we're still getting the data necessary to update the database.
So because I updated my password, I can't upload data because I can't update the password in the client because it's not recognizing the Live and PTR paths I'm providing. It recognizes the Beta path fine.
This has been going on for at least a month and very frustrating as a supporter of the sight that little to no attention is being paid to this issue at all.
We just want to help and provide data and support the site and we can't because something in the tool is broken and no help is forthcoming. Very frustrated.
I keep starting the Client with 0% data uploaded after a reinstall onto Windows 10... Attempts to Upload will be followed by "
:, Make sure your username and password is correct." Fair enough, I open up the Options menu, type in my password and press Enter... And each and every time, with no failure, I get "
Live path not found
." I -know- it's the right path. And I do believe the Client itself knows so too, because it can launch the Wow-64.exe with no issue.
Is there any reason for this? Is it Windows 10? Is it possible that the issue is that I play on the 64-bit client? I want to use the Looter/Client combo to see on Wowhead what I have done and not... But I can't.

Would not being able to find the install folder, and not uploading the "items" and "ADB" files be why I can't see my heirlooms?
Are there any news regarding fixes for these issues?
I have both the "Can't Find Path" and "Items and ADB files not uploading data" problems.
Edit: It seems my weapon relics are also not being updated.
