You can have Death Knight there u dont have 55+ on server.
So long u got 55+ on ur account u can make One DK per realm and any realm
http://www.wow-europe.com/wrath/features/deathknight/gameplay.xml
link about what Blizzard says
That is the ambiguous sentence.
As posted by Nethaera just 3 days ago

Q. What if I have a level 55 character on one realm but want to create a death knight on another realm to play with friends?
A. At the launch of Wrath of the Lich King, you will only be able to create a death knight on the same realm where you have an existing level 55 or higher character. In the future, we plan to allow the creation of a death knight on any realm (provided you have at least one level 55+ character).
So unless you've seen different in the last 3 days, I'm inclined to believe Blizzard's recent post over a promotional page created months ago that doesn't answer the above question either way.

A question that's been annoying me forever now though I'm pretty certain I already know the answer to it:
What's better for tanking, dual wielding or two-hand weapons? I'd imagine two-handers just because the dual-wielding penalty would force you to have to stack hit rating.
Also, I understand Blizzard's perspective on 51 point talents being situational; since that is the case, are any of the 3 talent points at all tanking specializationally (made up word) situational? If not, then can any be utilized while tanking (I can see hungering cold in 5 mans but only dancing ruin weapon and unholy blight would have any effect on bosses.)
Finally, anyone who is now 80 and tanking naxxramas or eye of eternity willing to tell us if Death Knights have gained that ability to tank as well as all the other tanks Blizzard has been talking about?
Thanks,
Flaks.

@flaks - two handed weapons will always be better for tanking than dual wield, because dual wielding passively increases the target's chance to parry, and whenever someone parries they get an attack speed increase. This causes you to take more damage.
What is the starting weapon of the DK?
you start with no weapon. After you complete the first 2-3 quests in ebon hold, you're given a 2handed sword. Takes maybe 2 minutes to finish the quests to get the sword, and there's no combat before then.
At the end of the death knight starting quests (around level 57-58), you do the battle for light's hope chapel quest, which rewards you with a choice of a 2h sword or 2h axe, both with unique runeblade models.

frost presence increases threat generation by 25%. You generate threat by dealing damage.
many "high threat" abilities have been altered to do more damage and have had their high threat components removed. Reason being - high threat bonuses do not scale well with gear, and that was something blizzard wanted to fix with WOTLK. All tanks primarily generate threat by doing more damage now.

Quick question cause I didn't see this in the FAQ (Unless I skipped it). Do weapon enchants (Mongoose etc etc) override the Rune Forging put on weapons, or do they coexist on a single weapon?

Runeforge effects and Enchants cant both exist on the same weapon, they overwrite each other. If you have a runeforge effect and you get a weapon enchant, the runeforge effect will dissapear, and vice versa.
However, runeforge buffs are usually as powerful or more powerful than normal weapon enchants, plus they're free.
DK can be silenced?
Yes, we use spells and can be silenced. As far as I know we cant be interrupted except when casting army of the dead though.

i think dks are going to be overrated and cheat, they should have stuck with the quest line idea to become a dk but now every1 and their grandma can be a dk which means that 1 of every ten dks will be actually smart and skilled people and the other nine of every ten are going to be a bunch of n00b losers looking for a short way to level 80( new level cap)
They removed everything heroic about the Death Knight... yeah, you start at 55 and it's more complex, but the dps is nothing heroic, and every idiot can make one.
But I think part the reason for taking out the 46-step epic quest at 80 to make a Death Knight, is because the lvl 80 instances are designed around having a Death Knight in the raid (like it'll be easier with one), so having to get to 80, and then do that massive quest, and THEN be able to make a Death Knight and level him, before you could effectively take out the end-game instances, would just annoy too many people and you'd never see Death Knights in end-game, and they'd just be a novalty rather than a competitive class.
But you're right that it's too easy to make one now, it's a bit like the Draenei Shaman when they came out, everyone went and made one. After a couple months you never saw most of them, and to this date there is actually a very small percentage of lvl 70 characters that are shaman on alliance side. And of those, very very few are geared or played well enough to take part in the 25-man raids. Let's just hope that enough of the nooblets give up on the DK when they realize that the dps isn't all that brilliant, and that it's a bit more complicated to play than other melee classes. The one mistake Blizzard did was to not have any clear vision for what they wanted with the DK, other making another tanking class that's "cool" (quote some developer in an interview I watched). They should've kept the DPS above normal for its level, and just locked DKs out of regular PvP. WoW sucks at PvP anyway.

i have a few questions that i have not seen asked yet on wowhead and i hope you enjoy answering them :)
will my Gnome DK be able to go into, say, Thunderbluff without any opposition?
will he be accepted alongside the MooCowDK's at the milk bar?
will he know how to speek the MooCowLanguage?
or will the longstanding hatered of Alliance/Horde keep them from interacting with eachother when under the service of the LK? thus, they never become friends?
just because im a gnome DK does that meen all the MooCows will still try to punt me off a cliff or sit on me? or will the LK unleash wicked horrors upon them if they mess with the likes of "minidarthvader" his most trusted DK servent?
also, if i join the darkside... do you have cookies?
