Not needed. Wasted points. Armor doesn't help with AoE spell damage and if your getting hit while healing someone else isnt doing their job right.

can live whitout in heroic but in raid its a Crime
beside...why the hell do we need armour? if its heroic get a better tank or CC
if you get hit in heroic you can survive whiteout the exstra armor (even in cloth and non-boss fight) but if you get hit in Raid its dead anyway! i not think make it form 17 k to 15k is big deal when you know you dead on next strike anyway

No, 8 points to get 10% more armor from items is just not enough, since quite possibly you'll be wearing quite a few cloth items which makes the armor bonus even more redundant, not to mention all the talents you'll lose too. In addition to that, you're likely to just get one (or two) shotted in a heroic if you get hit anyway.
As mentioned before, armor doesn't reduce damage taken from spells and if you get constantly hit in instances or raids, someone in the group is definitely not doing things right.
