Magic: The Gathering Discussion
Return to board index
Wow that was one of the most intense games of magic I have ever played. Intense and a lot of fun! You definitely had me there for the first half of the game, and you were hounding me all the way to the end too. Good game for sure! =D
The forum format is a bit tedious unfortunately. We could have probably fit 3 to 4 real life games into that last one.
I roll a 10 to start, and I choose not to mulligan.
Jubilee: I roll a 7, draw 7 cards, and opt to keep my 7 cards.
I play a swamp and play
which enters play tapped. Pass
I draw a card, play a mountain, tap the mountain, play
, tap him, and do 1 dmg to you. Unless you play an instant, it is your turn.
Just so you know, summoning sickness affects any form of tapping your creature, whether it's attacking or tapping for an ability, so you wouldn't be able to do that until your next turn.
Ah, ok then, I will keep him for blocking then. Sorry, still learning all this.
BTW, it's pretty cool to play against Rapunzel. I love the new avatar. That movie is on of my son and my favorites.
I draw, play a swamp, tap both and play
Sign in Blood
on myself, lose 2 life, and draw 2 cards, then I declare attack and swing with my goblin for 2.
I teared up like 10 times during that movie, which is a lot even for me :)
I accept the dmg, draw a card, play a forrest, tap the forrest, play
, tap the red, play
, tap the Goblin, do 1 dmg to you.
If there are no interrupts, and assuming you passed the turn to me in the first place, I pass the turn to you.
I didn't cry in Tangled. Up was the only semi sad pixar movie.
When Flynn pulled out those two floating lanterns, *happy sob* that made my night.
I draw, play a swamp, tap my three swamps and play
, and attack with my Ghoul who is now 3/3. Pass after combat.
I accept dmg. I draw a card, play a mountain, tap two mountains and a forrest, play Cinder Pyromancer, tap the goblin, 1 point of dmg to you. Pass turn.
That part was cliche. You knew they were going to fall in love when he found her tower. If I already know they are going to fall in love, I don't get shocked when they do. I'm entirely to cynical to... uh.. enjoy the plot. I liked the movie for its art. It was reminiscent of Sleeping Beauty's art.
I draw, play a swamp, and play
, so if you let that resolve I'll need you to list out your hand, no need to waste time linking everything. I will just look up anything I don't remember.
Naturalize, Soul's Might, Cylian Elf, Cinder Pyromancer.
I choose Pyromancer to be discarded. Then I tap a swamp and cast another Despise and have you discard your Elf. Then I tap my last two swamps and cast
and have you discard Naturalize.
Then I attack with both my creatures, 3/3 and 2/2. Pass after combat.
I accept damage, I draw a card, tap 3, play
Mark of Mutiny
on your 3/3, making it a 4/4, and attacking with it. I tap my goblin and do 1 dmg to you. Total of 5 dmg. If you accept I pass to you.
This seems to be who can kill who first. Since you relieved me of my hand that last turn I would say it is in your field to win this one, but that depends on what we draw I guess. I'm actually proud of how my first self made deck is doing. I'm not getting totally slaughered.
I'll give you at least one pointer at the end of this that I noticed.
Also, my 3/3 was actually a
that was being pumped by my
, so when you gain control of it, it's no longer getting that +1/+1, so with the +1/+1 counter you place on it you'll hit for 3 with it.
I draw, tap all, and play
Endless Ranks of the Dead
. I then swing with both zombies 4/4 and 2/2. Pass turn after combat.
I accept damage. I draw a card, play patrol of wild (tap necessary land), elves become 4/4, I attack with elves, and tap goblin, doing 1 dmg to you.
If you accept dmg, it is your turn, and I figure us at...
I think I'm toast after this turn.
patrol of wild
What card is that exactly?
I draw, my Enchantment triggers and gives me a zombie token, I tap 3 and play another Cemetery Reaper, and I swing with my 5/5 Ghoul and 3/3 Reaper.
Sorry, I meant
Patron of the Wild
I accept damage and concede the game. Well done.
All right, Rapunzel, what is the tip?
