I think there is a much simpler solution...
Unless it is agreed that items will be DE's and rolled on prior to starting the instance/raid, then everyone roll greed... and good luck to the winner...
If you don't want people to roll on your shards, don't DE until after you have finished the instance/raid...
No one will know you have the shards, and they won't expect to be able to roll for them...
Simple game made hard by idiots trying to over complicate it...
