I agree on the old content...I am fascinated with Grim Batol ever since I saw it as a lowbie and couldn't reach it due to the lvl 60 elites. I was severely dissappointed when wotlk did nothing with it. It would make the perfect "karazhan" for woltk.
As for Fan of Knives ... Instead of removing the cooldown, why not increase it to say 2min, but add either a great deal more damage or possible stun effects to use in emergencies when healers/casters draw aggro and you need to save the day.
I'd love to see a viable dagger raiding option that rivals swords
It would sound greedy to want rogue only drops, but considering that only paladins use plate drops with intellect and druids can use intellect leather drops as well, it would be nice to see rogue specfic drops considering our class can only do dps builds and can't roll on tank/healing gear like other classes.
Removing guns and crossbows from the rogue's equip list will also be a way of sacrificing a little in order to get some perks back.
One thing that i have always thought would be nice, is to get a rogue travel form like druids do where they do the same flickering dash effect as the elemental ninjas in Karazhan / Netherstorm do.

That would completely invalidate the reason FoK's was created. Rogues needed some kind of AoE to stay somewhat competitive during AoE clears. Turning it into another powerful 2 minute CD is exactly what we DON'T need. We have enough CD's.
We're not an AoE class. We can't have the best of both worlds. A occasional AoE stun on the other hand would be marvellous!
Are you serious? Swords is currently one of the worst specs and mutilate is the best spec.
For combat spec swords seemed to have outclassed daggers, but ok ye - weapon per spec is fine.
No, it destroys the itemization options. If they removed those weapons from the rogue equip list then they would need to remove swords and daggers from the hunter equip list as well.
Hunters can roll on just about every weapon with every type of stat lately. They can have their crossbows and guns ... just give us our daggers etc. Besides, thrown weapons are much more rogue'esque.
Rogues aren't druids. That wouldn't make sense. There are plenty of classes that don't have a travel form.
Both druids and shamans have travel forms + hunters have the speed buff... I just mentioned the visuals would look pretty cool - even with a 20% run increase of a jittering movement on a ninja. I am thankful for the blurred speed glyph though!
Thanks for giving your views on mine though. It's nice to see the flipside of things.
I hope you at least liked my idea of Grim Batol being used as a raid :P

Combat daggers hasn't been viable since Vanilla.
They were viable in TBC.

I still fail to see how Mutilate spec is the best raiding spec I've never seen an assassination rouge out dps fist/dagger combat or swords combat still.

That doesn't mean it isn't possible. Mutilate is indeed the highest sustained damage spec currently, but it suffers from innate problems dealing with melee combatants which brings me to my main point.
Mutilate may suffer from lower DPS or sustained damage on trash creatures, which really don't matter, but will greatly shine the longer a battle is maintained without interruption of rotation such as a boss encounter. Like most things, it also depends greatly upon a players personal skill, talent spec, and gear.
Any further discussion on Mutilate vs. Fist/Dagger spec belongs in a new topic.

Vanish is a bit buggy yes but hunter with flare and mark will see you anyway.
I want a on/off high threat system and aoe which requires cp's.

If by viable you mean "below mutilate, combat AND hemo trispec", then yes.

Did you play it in actual raids? I played it for at least a year both before and after TBC. The positional was the main problem with it, but the build was solidly capable of outputting decent DPS.
Even when the pre-3.0 patch came out with new talents I used a modified Combat daggers build which output 1700 DPS on multiple bosses in raids.

Honor Among Thieves: The bug where stacking multiple rogues with this talent caused them all to gain additional combo points has been fixed. In addition, it no longer cancels eating and drinking if a party member gains a critical strike while it is active.
Wanted to see that, which is actually in the 3.0.8 patch notes now.
