Someone on my server, way back, tricked the GM (who was also master looter) into giving him
this
by doing the /roll 99-100 trick.

i was in vault last night and one of my guildies was the only rogues and the rogues chest dropped fo T7 the master looter gave it to a druid in a different group... the master looter blamed it on the time...

I made a kara pug group on my hunter, when he was newly 70. He had crap gear, so i wouldnt get in that many kara runs. So i figure might as well be the leader therefore i cant be booted. The epix gun drops of the wolf in opera, i was so excited i wanted to get rid of the valanos longbow that every scrub hunter gets when their 70. The other hunter in the group rolled like 95, right after we downed the boss. I said hold your horses, every1 was spamming me for what they wanted. I master loot all the clothy drops to the winning rollers. Then the gun comes up, he rolls like a 26, i get a high 80. The other hunter was so bummed out.
P.S. dont ever roll against the master looter :D

Guy name of Roloe on Silver Hand (US) was master looter for an Onyxia run. He assigns all the loot to himself and then skins her before dropping group.

I've fallen victim to that trick >_> it was only RFD though nothing big.
biggest ninja I knew was someone who rolled need on almost every roll because he said "one of my alts can use it" XD he was dps so we just kicked him after the 3rd BS need roll and grabbed another dps player.

Would probably be me, but it wasn't my fault. I swear!
Was PuG'ing Kara for the first time ever on my rogue (with a guild that I later ended up joining), and we had a huntard in the group. Half-greens, dps worse than anyone else's, didn't know anything about the instance, and a jerk to boot. We put up with him, though (cuz this was post-3.0 and it didn't really matter) and manage to go all the way, downing Prince. And wouldn't you know it,
this
dropped. An upgrade for me, but a more important upgrade to the hunter.
And then the raid leader whispered me telling me to roll for it. I rolled versus the hunter,
lost
, and ended up getting the bow anyway.
It took a lot of self-justification to wipe that stain out of my conscience.

post 3.0 I was Tanking in Kara and the ML was a good friend of mine in RL well the tanking ring droped on aran I rolled and got 1 I said well it didn't matter as I was the tank anyway. Well a shaman rolled on it. Hey if it was a druid I could believe it. But then my friend said he did get a higher score. And I sat there and explained he was a shaman. Well I didn't get the ring. We went to the next boss. A hunter was ^&*!ed as well so I went in and was about to pull netherspite when I whispered him and told him to MD the ML and pull. We would then drop group and leave. So we MDed and he pulled we let everyone enter combat and we droped group. They all died very quickly while we sat their and laughed then right as we was about to aggro the timer hit 0 and we got ported to shatt. My ex-friend then psted me saying a bunch of mean stuff I ignored him. So he called me and he asked me why I did that. I explained and then hung up. A month later I finaly un ignored him and we ran kara again. he was very carefull that time. I got pretty much anything I wanted.
