Vanilla: Ashenvale, very nice looking place and alot of enjoyable quests.
TBC: SMV, like all the comets crashing in the background and the dark and forboding feel of the place.
WotLK: Dragonblight, i really like dragons lol. Lore and quests are nice to.

Vanilla: Teldrassil. Maybe i'm being more nostalgic than I should be...but my first toon on my account was a Night Elf Hunter. The feel of the game and the music, the scenery, the nightsabers (especially the nightsabers!) and the night elves themselves, the great big tree in the middle...It all clicked. It was a truly amazing experience. When I go there, I always feel really...in tune with the game. I love it, and despite I've gone over to Horde, I still find myself coming back for more.
Burning Crusade: Nagrand. Nagrand is amazing. The wide plains make you feel as if you can ride on them for days. I loved the Mag'har, and the lore behind the area and its inhabitants is awesome. The quest chain you get after all the other quests for the Mag'har was brilliant. The shamanistic vibe was great. And, of course, not having "ZOMG TEH SCI-FI!" in it was great as well. ;-P
Wrath of the Lich King: This is a tough choice. It's a three-way tie between Sholazar Basin, Dragonblight, and Icecrown.
Sholazar is a beautiful jungle, and how Blizz changed the Nesingwary Quests, its not evil to quest there. I love the Oracles, and the story behind why the scourge hasnt taken it over, why its a lush jungle in the frozen north, is brilliant.
Dragonblight I simply have to put on the list because of the DRAGONS. I love dragons, everything to do with 'em. Their addition beyond "Lol kill this dragon doood" or "kill this dragon dood in a rade" is great. The Wrathgate Quest Chain is one of the most epic things i've done in warcraft, as well.
And Icecrown...I helped that undead SOB take this place for his own, and now i'm gonna get him good. The phasing of the area is brilliant; your actions actually DOING something is more than enough to earn this a spot on my favorite zones list.

Classic: Mulgore
TBC: Zangarmarsh
WotLK: Tough one, but I'm going to have to go with Grizzly Hills. The quests suck but the music and scenery are fantastic. Howling Fjord comes a close second, for similar reasons.
And for something different(?), my
least
favourite zones:
Classic: Plenty to pick from, but most of the alliance starting areas are on my "avoid at all costs" list.
TBC: Gotta be Terokkar.
WotLK: Borean Tundra wins hands down.

I feel your sentiment on this one, but my first character (also Nelf Hunter) didn't make it past level 6. So I have mixed feels about Teldrassil.
