The effect of PW:S glyph can crit and this multiplies the healing done by 5. thats why I'm seeing PW:S crits in recount that absorb more than normal ones. Could you fix this so that it would always calculate it with hit ones and put some reduced % to crit ones so they could absorb the same ammount according to recount.
this statement is incorrect...
the change in the code that adds the + heals when a crit is detected is covered in this if statement
if healtype == "Crit" then
Recount:AddHealData(srcName, dstName, "Power Word: Shield", "Hit", amount*(2/3)*5,0, srcGUID,srcFlags,dstGUID,dstFlags,10900)
else
Recount:AddHealData(srcName, dstName, "Power Word: Shield", "Hit", amount*5,0, srcGUID,srcFlags,dstGUID,dstFlags,10900)
end
if it is a critical heal the amount of the heal is multiplied by 2/3rds thus calculating the approximate amount that the heal would have been had it not been a crit. as seen here
Recount:AddHealData(srcName, dstName, "Power Word: Shield", "Hit", amount*(2/3)*5,0, srcGUID,srcFlags,dstGUID,dstFlags,10900)
so in the event of a crit heal only 66.6% of it s amount is used when calculating the amount to add to +heals before multiplying by 5
if you are seeing unusual amounts that are bigger than normal ones perhaps you had a spell power buff... borrowed time increases the amount absorbed by 40% of your spell power... or perhaps the critical strike coefficient for bonus heals on average is not a 33.3% gain... and the code needs to be updated correctly.. i will look into this.

as stated earlier in the thread you must have the glyph of power word shield... and if you are not speced 3/3 divine aegis the results willl be inaccurate.. for this to work "semi" accurately you need the glyph and 3/3 divine aegis.. this mod is very crude and uses the 20% glyph data to calculate the total value of your shield..
I got both. The problem is the amount "healed" by the PW: Shield doesn't show up. Only the amount healed by the Glyph PW:Shield. Do I have to activate something in the mod?
Do you actually have the addon installed correctly?
You are able to tell whether or not it is based on if Divine Aegis shows up or not.
I unzipped the package and put it in the folder ~/interface/addons/recount.
Divine Aegis does show up, PW:S not. :/
Take the contents of the Disc Recount file, and copy/paste them directly into your current recount folder.
This should overwrite the other files (which is what you want to do).

fili,
All healing crits are a flat 150% of of what the heal would have been sans crit. So multiplying by 2/3 is indeed correct.

yes yes :) i have been a bit busy to respond again but yea crits are 150% :)

None taken, but I've been running with my modified copy of Recount for a few days now and it looks good. I'm simply waiting to hear back from Recount's maintainer.
Would you be so kind to upload your version somewhere so we can test it, while you get an answer from the maintainer

Sure, you can grab it from:
http://my.curse.com/members/bifffur/files/Tracker.lua.txt.aspx
Just drop the .txt extension from the end of the filename and copy it into your Recount directory (from a 3.0.3 download).
If you have any problems with it, have questions about some of the specific details, or find issues and have suggestions, please send me a PM via the curse.com site. This was my first experience with lua and looking at combat logs so I'm sure there are things that could have been done better.
I tested it on some duels and Bgs and so far seems to work awesome.
Since you learned how to make it account shields for each owner checking debuff/buff duration. the only things that we could add to make it perfect is the pally/mages etc shield. and make it so it detects stuff like pain suppression.. say. it detect is up. and then it gives you a corresponding ammount,, say a tank took 6k damage during a pain suppression buff, it will asign to your count 4k healing... 10k-60% damage taken = 4k
Great job here

I did 10 man sarth and the numbers seem to split properly,, it counted 4 pws glyph heals. and 22k absorv by the pws.. each of shield absorbs like 5500 or so when i tested it solo
and then a big ammount for divine aegis.. let me put numbers
Recount Effective Healing
1. Penance 24 62582 (24%)
2. Divine Aegis 25 50757 (20%)
3. Binding Heal 8 37128 (14%)
4. Flash Heal 7 28036 (11%)
5. Power Word: Shield 7 21580 (8%)
6. Prayer of Mending 8 19137 (7%)
7. Renew 13 17869 (7%)
8. Greater Heal 2 11302 (4%)
9. Glyph of Power Word: Shield 4 4041 (2%)

got you. however in a raid environment is really hard to have both shields up at same time since they almost always die in 1 hit..
pretty pro.
