The quests required to be an armorsmith. Considering they added nothing for it in Lich King, having to do quests that cost 100+ gold to finish (if you don't want to mine
everything
yourself) is sorta pointless. You get no benefit from it now :( And yet I'll do them anyway...meh...

I would remove The burning crusade, and Wrath of the lich king and go back to Vanilla wow. Back when things where proper.

Remove the entire Wintergrasp zone and replace it with the subterranean zone Azjol-Nerub should have been.

If you have a level 80, you can make any character starting at level 55.

I would add an option to create a completely custom items, limited to the level range. The option would allow you to design weapon or armor to suit your liking. It will cost a ton of Emblems of Valor to do so.
Of course, I would never believe it would happen :)
I had a similar idea, but instead of using a token system it would require the use of materials collected from mobs. You would start with a base item, such as cloth, hide, or dragon scale, which provides the maximum 'ilevel' (and thus the maximum number of stats you can add) of the item you will create. You then add materials, such as gems, eyes, organs, fluids, or other sorts of parts to increase particular stats for the item. The stat-raising materials would be collected from normal mobs, either as dropped or harvested materials, while the base items would be from 'rares' (equivalent to instance bosses). The same materials, where base or stat, can be acquired from different mobs, though obviously some particular kinds of mobs might have materials better suited for your planned item. The rare mobs would also drop bases for different item types in the same kill.
Actual items can still exist, where they have special effects and are not just stat dumps (think illusion masks from EQ, pets in WoW, novelty items), or where it doesn't break immersion for two people to potentially have the same TotallyOnlyOneWasMadeThing (think weapons in D&D, e.g. PowerfulWeaponOfWhichManyWereCommissioned).
The benefits
: No more RNG, e.g. running the same dungeon for that one item. Dungeons can become non-instanced, because you no longer necessarily need the same mob as everyone else for the best-in-slot item. Allows your players to spread out among all your dungeons instead of farming the same five all the time for the best items. Bosses become important: they can be given a bigger story and effect in the game world, rather than just there as LootChest_041.
The cons
: Would require a complete revamp of the dungeon and item system: the game would essentially need to be built around it. Lower replayability: lots of people continue to play because there's still that one more thing to do, one more thing to get, while in this system upgrades are only a matter of time. Social aspects: players may not want to share dungeons, or go to a different dungeon if the current one is fully populated. I'm sure there are more but I've lost my train of thought.
So yeah. That went on longer than I expected. Sorry.
