This
Cat Form (Passive)
might be the hidden buff that's applied when in forms that adds the threat modifier.

While we're on the subject of cats, what do you guys think of primalstrike vest vs shadowprowlers chestguard?
I'm guessing the latter, and if I'm right, which gems? Was thinking BLR, SNE, GNT. Yeah?

You know, the last time I checked, which was last night's raid, Rip cost 30 energy, not 25.

A better powershifting macro whould be
/cast !Cat Form
unlike the one with /cancelform this one will not shift you out if you can't get back into Cat Form

Concerning Powershifting and Healing.
1. Is Powershifting a time and energy effective strategy against bosses? I ask this because it seems as though you end up losing the time of the energy tick that you are working on, especially in conjunction with the GCD.
Also, if this is true, it seems that furor would not be as great choice for a raiding cat when compared to Imp Mark of the Wild if you don't have a Resto or Balance druid in the raid.
2. The chart on which heals are more efficient is nice, but it's only relative to Resto druids with plus heal on their gear (or I don't know how to read it :D). If as a cat dpser I want to switch out to innervate/heal, but since I have no +heal stats, what heals will be most effective? Rejuv is what I'm betting on, but I have yet to see any numbers on this.

Thanks for the feedback analysis on Furor and powershifting; always good stuff to think about weighing benefits and such.
That bottom paragraph was a great breakdown on the healing, thanks.
I had been looking at the healing lay out that you gave in the Introduction, not the Resto guide, so I think I'll have to lookover the resto one. Thanks for posting the numbers for me.
Thanks

The net energy gain from a powershift depends on two factors: human reflexes (how soon after an energy tick did you hit the shift button?) and lag (how much longer did it take for the server to register that you had hit the button?). Tossk has estimated the
average
powershift gain as 17 energy, although of course for any individual that number will increase or decreased based on the above two factors.
I've noted a significant gain in DPS when I am able to execute powershifts properly. The biggest thing is that you make sure you do it as close as possible to the tick to make sure you don't miss out on the gain from the next tick due to latency.

If you look at that WWS parse of our last Morogrim kill, I powershifted somewhere between 5 and 6 times (gaining the Furor effect a total of 6 times -- I think one of those was just a form shift to use a Healthstone). That's pretty low for a fight that long but forgive me that; I'm still trying to get in the habit of doing it and there aren't too many fights for which I don't have to tank. I usually try to only powershift when I'm literally at or below 10 energy because it would be two ticks before I could Shred or Mangle again.
If you look at the two feral Druids in that raid, Shibumi is me and Nosfuratu is the other guy. I had 3 watery graves versus his 1. His damage gear is better than mine, as well. However, I still ended up out-damaging and out-DPSing him. Was that because of those powershifts that let me get my Rip back up faster than him on an un-lucky streak of crit-less Shreds? It's possible.
Basically the way I see it is that I have this blue bar that I don't use. Powershifting provides the ability to increase your DPS by using the blue bar instead of leaving it at 100% for the whole fight. In that light, I can't see how I shouldn't be doing it. Being aware of what's required of me in a fight will let me know whether or not I can afford to spend mana on increasing my personal contribution; if I can, I do.
I should note that we have a Resto Druid who takes care of the Improved Mark buffing.

I wouldn't disagree with you if you can get Imp. Mark from someone else :D
Thanks for the thoughts on executing PSing to get it to be effective.

What would you recommend action wise for solo play?
At the moment I am doing pounce > mangle > shred > and then claw, or bite depending on combo points.
Just turned 61 yesterday and got Mangle.

What does DPE stand for?

Damage Per Energy I believe. (Similar to what DPM, Damage Per Mana, would be for a mana-using class, for instance.)
