Finished Portal 2 (played all night; explains why I feel like I'm about to pass out). Very pleased with the game. I was sincerely afraid that since Portal was so good, Portal 2 couldn't possibly match it, and would suffer from sequelitis. Thankfully, there's just as much wit and humour as the original, the storyline wasn't as predictable as I initially surmised, the graphics were beautiful, the climax was epic (and I mean EPIC), and the credits song was just as delightful as Still Alive, which I doubted was possible. Overall, great, great game. Will play again sometime (not tonight though... :P).

If you finished it in one day, is it really a good game though? After all, it has no longevity if that's the case.

If you finished it in one day, is it really a good game though? After all, it has no longevity if that's the case.Beat it in seven hours or so, going all night. 'Bout as long, or longer than it took me to beat Half-Life 2.
Besides, the original Portal is widely recognized as one of the best designed games of all time, and it's only roughly 3 hours if you're slow.

It's also worth noting that since I
had
played the original Portal four or five times, I figured out the puzzles in Portal 2 probably faster than someone who'd just played through it once, so that may have contributed to my beating it in one night.
But no, I don't think it's a waste of money. Delightful experience.
