I'd like to share something I found and get Randomness's take on it:
This is a review I found online for a local coffee shop. I've been to the coffee shop. I don't particularly like the coffee shop. It doesn't strike me as comfortable, and I don't like the coffee. I haven't been back much. However, there is certain complaint about the atmosphere that, in a way, speaks to me:
They are clearly trying: the floor of the shop is tastefully decorated, spacious, comfortable, and always busy but never crowded. On the other hand I got a blank stare when I asked what kinds of red tea they have. My confusion must have shown because the barista followed that up with "I don't know much about tea" and then pointed me to their rack of Numi bagged tea. If you're looking for tea you can safely go elsewhere. The coffee is decent, not bad and the sugary drinks are as good as any other. The food is solid and the wifi is free.
The biggest plus is the prices; if you're from out of town or used to Starbucks prices you'll be pleasantly surprised.
The downside, what prevents this place from being a fine coffee shop, is that it is overwhelming CHRISTIAN. Not that that's inherently a reason to avoid a place, and there aren't just a few Christian references to be found. No, it is as in your face Christian as you can imagine a coffee shop being that isn't located in a church. There are verses hanging from the ceiling, a catalog from the on-site Christian bookstore on every table, tips get donated to a Christian charity, and every time I have been in at least one group of people could be found hunched over open bibles having some sort of bible study. And if you can't stand the cookie-cutter adult contemporary the Christian music industry puts out and calls music make sure to bring headphones. It's loud enough to clearly hear the lyrics of every song on rotation, even if they're indistinguishable.
It's a nice place but the Christian vibe is so overpowering that unless you're a conservative Christian or can tune it out you'll get tired of it pretty quickly.
If you notice, the reviewer really dislikes what he views as overpoweringly Christian, as if you have your face rubbed in it. He states that he doesn't find it as a reason to avoid the place, but that the 'vibe is overpowering'. It's as if the vibe isn't bad, but it's just really strong, the way even a mustard lover wouldn't eat it in spoonfuls. I agree. In fact, I remember that particular fact about this coffee shop. What I find, that speaks to me particularly, is the way his complaint applies to my feelings about the rest of society. Most everywhere I go, the vibe is anti-christian and even anti-responsibility. While this isn't a reason itself to dislike society, the vibe is strong enough to make it distasteful.

Despite the fact that a majority of Americans self identify as Christian, I still see a massive anti-christian cultural push. I see it in the movies I watch. I see it in the newspapers I read. I hear it from the kids on the playground my kids play on. etc... It's really everywhere I go.
Sarcastically pointing to statistical numbers doesn't erase the fact that the aggressive anti-Christian push is there. Pour all the numbers and all the statistical data out you want. List pages of the stuff. The bottom line is that it doesn't change what is there.

Why sure.
If you go ahead and download that small Excel file there called "75 - Self-Described Religious Identification of Adult Population" you can see that 173,402,000 out of 228,182,000 adults are self described Christians. That rounds to 76%. Is that source good enough for you?
Also, if we're not using numbers, then are you going to show some examples or just state what you 'see' as fact?

In Denmark, about 70 or 80% are self-described christians christians. And of them about 10% actually believe and pray, go to church etc.

Because Denmark is $%^&ed up. Everybody gets their confirmation for the money. Except for a handful, who does it because everyone else does. I'm being serious here.
