i wasn't refering to a law.
This is the dangerous part of what you are asking for. Whether or not we think government should be religious, not religious, or have mandatory half price tuesdays... the point is, they should ALWAYS follow the laws we lay down, not thier own precedent. If we allow government to do
anything
without first getting approval of constitutional law, then we have lost.

There's no law saying any religious organization has authority over or equal to the government, only laws explicitly saying there is separation of church and state. Americans in general are religious, but the country is still secular, and it always has been. As soon as religious organizations start controlling the government, then the US becomes just like countries such as Iran and Saudi Arabia.
Those are considered to be radical and dangerous states by western culture, and much of their instability stems from them being theocratic. Christian theocracy is no better than any other type of theocracy.

I'm still waiting to see this law.

Edit: this is in response to a deleted Laihendi post about the first ammendment establishing a barrier between church and state.
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Congress cannot establish religions.
Congress cannot prohibit the exercise of religion
Congress cannot abridge freedom of speech
Congress cannot abridge the press
Congress cannot abridge right to peacefully assemble
Congress cannot abridge right to petition
Where does it say that government cannot honor religions? Where does it say that government cannot utalize religions already made in it's practices?
Can't kids READ these days? Sorry, Laihendi. Careful study proves you to fail in your streeeeetch of an interperetation here. Care to try again?

MyTie, care to give a summary of socialism for me without much opinion put in? Never cared to look it up and I prefer it in someone's words as opposed to textbook definitions.
Haha, still trying, Interest.. keep it up, I think I might actually think about it.
