Why did bizz think it a good idea to only be able to kill something with frost damage?
Hm?

I kept a blue wand I got in Strat just for that fight. Was funny doing it in WotLK with a raid group of 20 and it taking like 15-20 minutes because nobody would melee in shatter phase, lol.

I went in and did this raid with my BF's frost mage, and I was lucky that the pet dropped the first time. I don't know how many times I could talk him into that- lol.

If only...
It'd be really nice to have Ivokk and HSR pop in every once in a while.

HSR is probably still on TORhead- he was a mod there.

It would be really nice to have like 20 more people pop in every once in a while; I miss the more heated discussions. It's not that the discussions we get these days aren't good - oftentimes they are, but everything is so
slow
:(

Oh @#$%. HSR moving up in the world. Good for him.
Anybody know what Ivokk is doing these days? I used to have him on my facebook, but since I've left facebook, I have no idea what he's up to.

No, sas. I'll consider coming back much later, after the mods rotate out. When Ashalia, squish, hat, and you are all no longer moderating the forums. Not that any one of you are wrong in how you moderate, but I just find it very difficult to post under the current direction wowhead is going.
For instance, that topic about the "most annoying fiction character", pikey posted something that was removed. I can only imagine it was "God" or "Jesus" or something of the sort. Yesterday, when I posted in that thread, I glanced through the other responses. I kind of
expected
someone to answer with one of those, as soon as I saw the title. It's a predictable answer. Now, is it an answer that instigates, and doesn't really follow the spirit of the thread? Sure. Should it be posted? Probably not. But should it be moderated? Not at all. There is this feeling in OT, and wowhead in general that people need to be handled gently, and coddled at every step. Moderators remind me more of playground monitors for children than debate moderators for adults.
No running. Take turns. It's not nice to call little Suzie "silly".
Again, none of this is wrong, it just is personally intolerable to me. Now is this to say that I take issue with the way I have been personally moderated? Not really. I've taken issue with the way people have personally moderated me since skyfire. What really bothers me is the effect it has had on the other users in offtopic. Just yesterday it seemed that everyone was in a hurry to report threads in "general" to get rep. Not that reporting is bad, but it just used to be done in response to obvious rule breaking, not everything that anyone thought might be rule breaking. And the effect doubles in scale when rule breaking is on a playground style, where children are incensed that little timmy is talking about religion in the fiction character section of the playground.
My beloved battlefield was turned into a paintball arena which was turned into a nerf arena which was turned into a dodgeball arena which was turned into a place where we all sit around and say nice stuff. Should I have been less rough in the past? Sure, but this is quite beyond that.
Anyway, that turned into a wall of text unintentionally.
TLDR: Not anytime soon.

@MyTie- someone was advertising a blog in general yesterday. It was one of those first time posts "Come to this link" threads. It was just spam.

I understand, but it just shows the eagerness to earn rep. Reporting things is a passion, and not just spam, but everything that bothers, or rocks the boat, or is disagreed with, or is different. Reporting things isn't bad, but the mentality behind it is. No longer is the mentality, "I disagree with you, so I'm going to explain why you are wrong and provide supporting evidence". It is now, "I disagree with you, so I'm going to ask the mods to make you stop". That mentality, by the users, not the actual moderation, is the problem. I expect that it will go away when the mods don't encourage it. When mods stop holding people's hands, they will once again learn to walk on their own.
In all honesty, I don't even really want to discuss this. I have remorse for even bringing it up. Better, at this juncture, to continue my patience than to complain.
