Exactly. Kind of annoys me when people who arn't going through it talks about it. "Cheer up" is one of the most annoying thing ever. It's not like the voices in my head care about that.
Its times like this where I wish Wowhead had a private message function, but...(most of us) are all friends here, so I guess its OK to discuss this in public. We have definitely discussed worse in the past.
EluraE....I assume you are under the care of a doctor. Have they tried different medications to try to help you?
I ask, only because I have been under treatment for "clinical depression" since 1999. My illness is not what many think of when they think "depression", but it is, by clinical definition. I don't
feel
"depressed"...in fact, it has very little to do with my mood. Its a chemical imbalance that, in my case, is more of a groggy confusion.
Luckily, I have a great doctor, and after about 2 years, and at least 10 different medication combinations, I rarely have any symptoms, unless I forget to take my medication on time.
I guess my best advice here is, don't give up. It took a long time before we found the right medications, but once we did, it can be fully controlled. And I mean "fully"...don't settle for just feeling "better"...keep trying until you feel fine.
And I agree...I hate it when people think that its just a matter of "cheer up", or "it will be OK"....words, no matter how kind cannot get your body to produce the chemicals that it needs. Thankfully, medication can.

I'm so sorry to hear about that Rys, trust me, I've seen my share of suicides in the past. During my time in sabaneta, I saw a lot of inmates, who were so lost to despair and hopelessness in that horrible forsaken place, that they chose to escape from it, the only way they knew how: by throwing themselves off the highest floor in the pit.
Life is precious, its already bad enough that we have to lose good people to sickness, starvation, war, and crime, but despair is sadly, taking its toll on our loved ones, and is horrific to see it happen. I wish I had better words of comfort for you, but sadly, words of encouragement have never really been my strongest point, even though I badly wish it was.
In a somewhat relevant topic:
This article
by cracked was really nice to read. For a website with such an acidic, sarcastic, and witty style of humor as Cracked is, this article was really nice, specially its rather great ending, to which I wholeheartedly agree.
Edit: And Elura, I know you won't feel better just because I tell you to feel better, but believe me when I say that I truly wish you the best, and I fervently desire that you, one day, manage to overcome your depression. Its not impossible. Words wont make it happen, but IT CAN happen, and I know you're strong enough to see it through.

I want to live on Jupiter, as long as the internet is good.
There is nothing to live on when it comes to Jupiter. There is no real surface. If you were to attempt to stand on it's surface, you'd just sink to the center.
Not to mention the gravity is about 2.5x stronger on Jupiter and you'd just suffocate anyhow. :D

I said on not in, blimps will still float on Jupiter. And I would have to have an inclosed capsule filled with oxygen and other breathable gasses, but if I wanted to watch any youtube videos I might have to wait awhile due to the speed of light and all that, (around one hour at the speed of light between earth and jupiter)
The
ping
would be terrible

What Sas meant is that there is no surface to Jupiter, since its a planet made entirely of gas. And storms. For a solid object like a human being there is no way to live there. If you're talking about living in a space ship that is floating near Jupiter, you can't park that bad boy anywhere near it, Jupiter's gravity is so strong, that once you're pulled you're sucked into its eternal storms and swallowed whole towards the center of the planet, where its gravitational force will crush you like a tin can. And if you are floating far enough that the gravitational force can't pull you in, then you're not really living "in" jupiter, or "on" jupiter, you are just floating in space and happen to have Jupiter as the nearest planet for the vista, in which case, any planet would do, as jupiter isn't really the most beautiful one (IMO That privilege is reserved for Venus and Saturn) Now, one of the Jupiter moons is a different matter.
(Yes I loved astronomy a lot as a kid, and my childhood dream was to be an astronaut.)
Having said that, the ping would be a killer, when NASA sent their unmanned flight to Mars, they had a remote-controlled vehicle, and each command sent from Earth, to that Vehicle, would take HOURS to travel. And Mars is the planet closest to ours. I imagine sending and receiving information from the orbit of Jupiter would take days.
And good morning Wowhead.

You know, I'm starting to believe that blizzard is just physically INCAPABLE of doing a crappy cinematic. They just can't. If ANY of their games has a cinematic on it, you can bet your sweet B-hind, that its gonna have a jaw-dropping cinematic in it.
Starcraft 2: Hearth of the Swarm
Cinematic.
You can start drooling now.
I think

Sums up my opinion of the cinematic as a whole.

As a huge SC2 fan (I follow the competetive scene) I have a lot of small things that I really want to poke fun at in that cinematic, but I'll just agree with you instead. That cinematic is freaking amazing, no buts. Just awesome.
And Elura: try to hang in there. I don't know what it's worth to you, and I know it doesn't really make a difference - but I'm convinced you "can do it" (as much as I hate using that because it sounds so cheesy).

Christ what is with all these "Which hero class next?", "What xpac next?", "What race next?" threads popping up what seems like every other day? We can't even get through the first section of content before people start begging/dreaming/drooling over things that are over 18-24 months away.

Brainstorming can be fun, though =D
At my company I send the owner "Why don't we try..." suggestions like twice a week, and sometimes he agrees and we actually start making whatever I suggested. There might be a lot of not great ideas that get trotted out when people brainstorm, but you never know where the next really good idea will come from, or who will see it.

Indeed brainstorming and daydreaming can be fun.
In the Lore&RP board, we've done so much brainstorming regarding the lore of wow, that we've actually predicted some of the stuff that eventually happened (specially adamsm :P he predicted the dragonmaws rejoining the horde, and Onyxia coming back as a zombie)
Problem with speculation is that ALL OF IT is personal opinion, no facts, just subjective observation, and when some folks disagree with it, they try to pose THEIR opinion as a fact, when in reality, when it comes to the future of this franchise, absolutely nothing in this game is written in stone. I mean really, who could had ever foreseen blizzard adding Pandarens to both factions? ever since people have wanted them to join the game, they've speculated the Pandas joining the Horde, or Alliance, and absolutely nobody could had predicted that they'd actually join both.
Its why so many of these "What will next X will be?" tend to go south real quick, as most of them go like this:
Person A: What will be the next race to join the alliance/horde?
Person B: I say Ogres will join the horde, and Ethereals will join the alliance.
Person A: ARE YOU F****** SERIOUS? ETHEREALS WOULD NEVER JOIN THE ALLIANCE BECAUSE OF
And it just goes further south from there. Seen it happen a billion times. Speculation-tossing should only be done between friends. Between strangers, it rarely works well.
