I remember catching:
Rayquaza with a Pokéball
Kyogre with Superball
Registeel with Pokéball
Regirock with Pokéball aswell
and Regice with Pokéball on Pokémon Saphir
Also attempted to catch Mewtwo on Fire Red with Pokéball but there weren't enough so I ended up with Hyperball
Took lots of restarts and luck.

And the cheat to get 99 of whatever you want by encountering him xD ha I so abused that cheat, but I never tried to catch him. I heard a rumor if you caught him he'd bug your game o.o
Yeah is anyone getting pokemon platinum I wont cuz it doesnt have any new pokemon i hacked arcereus and everyone else from dimond and pearl like giratina and crescelia darkrai erc
I don't see how that's supposed to be impressive at all, seeing as Giratina and Cresselia are available in-game, and they've had events at Toy's R Us for Darkrai and Shaymin. All that's left is Arceus, but that will change when the 12th movie comes out.
Unless you missed out on the events, then I guess "hacking" is your only option. I still think that using a cheating device is about the worst thing you can do on your game, however.

Level 100 Feraligator
Level 100 Lugia (best Pokemon...ever)

Level 100 Scizor (2nd best Pokemon...ever)

Red / Blue: Awesome, but the graphics of the time were awful.
Silver / Gold: Most awesome pokemon games to date.
Ruby / Sapphire: They weren't bad, but certainly weren't good.
Fire Red / Leaf Green: Only good because it was a remake of an awesome game.
Diamond / Pearl: These were just sad.
QFT. My opinion exactly
They should remake G/S, taking all the good MECHANICS of D/P/P and implementing them with all the awesome old Pokemon and none of the awful new ones.
As for 3rd gen...that was okay. Not great but they made some winners, like Metagross and Flygon.
