Not even kidding... it appeared just west of the pokemon day care place.... then instantly fled... I didnt even get a chance to attack or use a pokeball.

Also, took me 2 hours to capture Mewtwo without a master ball -.- that was fun.

Mike, they all do that...i ran into Zapdos the other day, and it instantly ran off.
I know you can use the pokedex to track them, but i have no clue if they actually fight you at some point.

Fleeing pokémon are caught using the "Arena Trap" ability. Dugtrio has it, for instance. Makes the foe unable to flee. When you are looking for the roaming legendaries, make sure to have your Dugtrio as a frontline pet. Also make sure he doesn't die.
... nevermind, flying type pokemon are not affected by Arena trap. GG Articuno.

Arena Trap doesn't work on flying types, anyway.
The other issue is the fact that Dugtrio is frail as hell...it probably wouldn't survive against Articuno and Moltres. Maybe Zapdos provided it only has electric attacks.

Zapados has been trolling me all day while I'm trying to grind up some Pokes. <.>

i was really disappointed when i found out that there's no extra island or gyms like there was in previous games :(

Knowing how they operate, they are probably saving a bunch of bonus features for the "third game" in the series. They always release two, and then one extra which basically blows the previous ones out of the water. (In case of Black/White, it was 2 extra).
