Going by Adamsm´s info i would like to add the possibility of troll-humans, troll-dwarves, troll-elves, and troll-gnomes (eeeew).
Also dranei-orcs. If i might get creative (or downright perverse) a arrokoa-orc or arrokoa-dranei would also be a possibility. Well, mammals crossing with egg-layers might be too far fetched even in a magic world.
Goblins seems to be rather bizarre and lack most forms of morals, so they could probably experiment with a variety of other humanoids and accelerate growth or something. Why not a goblin-troll?

Couldn't be Troll-humans; 1. Too much hatred between the two. And 2. Playable Trolls are Darkspear, who only had encounters with Humans again, about 14 years at the most.

Now I don't know much about specifics, but do some races age quicker than others?
And is there like a list or something that shows the Warcraft series and what years take place for each? I'd like to get an idea of how long each game is.

The only quick life race in the game are the Hozen; maturity and death for them is around 25 or so. All of the other races seem to mature at a standard rate, but the adult hood age does differ; IE the elves have a 110 years old before they are considered adults, but that doesn't seem to mean that for those years the elves are stuck with children/teenage mentality.
Each of the expansions is listed on the official time line: So far, it's one year a piece for Vanilla, BC, and Wrath, with some time skip between Wrath and Cata(Hyjal NPCs tell us it's been ten years since the Third War and the death of Archimonde), and seems like it's only another year for Cata and no skip this time into MoP.

I have long championed playable Nerubians. I never considered how they'd wear pants.

Probably way too few (and deranged?) to suit as a playeable race, but imo it could exist a few troll-human(troll-elves, troll-dwarves) etc in Azeroth. The advanced larger troll tribes, gurubashi, drakkari, farraki, etc. don't seem to be above to try and crossbreed just for the heck of it.

Well except for that fact that all of the troll tribes except for the Darkspear are incredibly xenophobic and would rather kill other races then do anything else.

i had an idea for playable Sidhe, as part of an expansion of the Cenarion Expedition and Emerald Dream. i mean the Emerald Dream image files are already there. the idea involves a childlike fae race that served as the messengers between Cenarion and the Elemental Spirits and were the first to draw elemental power. able to fly as per flight training at level 60, reduced falling damage, bonus to mastery that scales with level, elemental resistance, a cooldown that gives them an absorb, and a small (but not quite gnome or goblin size) avatar. they gain currencies 10% faster and receive 15 free ranks in tailoring. they actually fly at level 60, no mount needed, and well, being part of Cenarion, they would be a neutral race connected to the emerald dream, where the alliance and horde take their fights, and as a neutral race, due to being messengers, and due to their youth, they would be hiding in the emerald dream. they would look normal ish, similar to how the female blood elves used to have pre-teen appearances before the revamp, and would likely only come playable as women. it could draw the "moe otaku crowd for more subscribers"

Am i the most boring, uninmaginative wowheader ever if i would suggest Mag´har (brown) and Dragonmaw (gray) orcs as new playeable races? For Alliance Dark Iron and Frost dwarves.

I'm willing to bet it's only a matter of time before naga are made into a playable race. It'll be some Azshara-based expansion, and maybe--
maybe
-- it'll involve Illidan in some way. But seriously, though, I think from Bliz's perspective naga are long overdue.
But personally I'm hoping for Kobolds, I hope you get to choose the kind of candle they have on their head, and that their comments involve not taking candles in some way.

I think it's time for WoW to have mixed bred races.
Human/Draenei mix...Tauren/Troll mix...etc.
We could create them on the character screen, the variety would provide a novel approach to new races, which is something the game could use.

Except....they'd be too young to be playable; all of those would be 10 years old at the most.

Not all of those combinations would necessarily be that young; some of the races had been acquainted with each other for a long time, and even if the factions weren't necessarily friendly with each other, that's not to say there couldn't have been subgroups where they'd married each other despite that.

It would only be possibly 5 of the 13 races; Humans, Dwarves, Orcs, Goblins and Gnomes. The other races only met each other in the last 3 to 10 years; the Worgen curse is not genetic so that's a no go. But anyone else would be very young at this point.

Well, WoD does send all races back in time....sooooo...theoretically... :D

you are assuming that all races grow at human rate.
A 10 year old orc/troll breed might be much more mature physically.
Also a lot of magic in the WoW world, who's to say a new "fountain of manhood" isn't to be discovered that when drunk from, instantly matures a toon.
I do think we can have some creative liberties for the sake of bringing something new to the game, race wise.

Actually, from the lore it seems orcs mature at about a human rate, what with Thrall having been a baby around the opening of the dark portal and now being around an age where he has little children... and there's Nazgrel as well, who was a little boy in WoD, which suggests he would have probably been around that age in our timeline as well, 35 years ago...
The only race in-game I've seen that seems to age faster than humans is the hozen, where one of the lore scrolls explicitly said they only live until age 14 or so. And there's Wrathion who's an adolescent at the age of two, but I think he's a special case because his egg was purified with titan technology. I don't think it's typical for dragon whelps to be adolescent at age two.
And personally I think throwing in something like "a magical source that makes people age faster" that would transform an entire race (or a large enough group within that race to be sufficient for forming a new race) just so we could have a hybrid race as a result seems a bit forced. Then again, with all due respect, Bliz has come up with ideas before that really stunned me in how fantastically idiotic they seemed, so who knows what they'll come up with next.

Unless this lore is written in stone, the game is losing players and needs a shot in the arm.
With many players having pretty much leveled up every race/class combo they wish to, not having something new for players this xpac race/class wise was major oversight.
Letting players create there own mix bred toon could infuse some needed fun back into the game much like transmog gear has done in letting us fashion how we look.
They could incorporated it into the game as daily/quest type, where we would raise such a child to adulthood, when old enough they could start questing, whatever.
Magic, no magic, they could design it however they choose.
Seriously, how many players are hanging around strictly for lore these days?
I'm not seeing that mentioned in many of the "I quit" and "lack of stuff to do" threads over on the main forum.
PS. I'll admit I am not a lore person, but didn't Blizz "tweak" lore a bit way back when, to allow Horde Pally's and Alliance shamans?
