Oh, don't get me wrong, in my opinion Bliz had done some terrible things to their own lore. I actually accept their reasoning for BE paladins, but I'll never be cool with tauren paladins or dwarf shamans, and especially NE mages. But that's not even the beef I have with their lore, but I'd get way off topic if I started to get into that.

I'm comic book guy from way back, been collecting for quite awhile. I know the history(lore) of many of the characters we are seeing today in the movies.
Because of that, I can see when they have altered historical backgrounds of certain characters in the movie.
But that's ok, you take creative liberty to make a good movie, they've been doing that since the start with making movies of famous books.
How many people who saw the Avengers movie, for example, enjoyed it and expanded beyond it and explored the characters in more depth.
The lore would have meant nothing had the movie not first piqued their curiosity.
How many more players have sought out the lore of WoW because they first enjoyed the game so much.
You have your literature and then you have to find away to convert that into a viable entertainment commodity.
I can see Lore is important to you, it is the foundation of the game story line and continuity is important, but in my opinion, not so important to the point that it should hamstring making a fun game.
Peace.

I think it's time for WoW to have mixed bred races.
Human/Draenei mix...Tauren/Troll mix...etc.
We could create them on the character screen, the variety would provide a novel approach to new races, which is something the game could use.
Except....they'd be too young to be playable; all of those would be 10 years old at the most.
you are assuming that all races grow at human rate.
A 10 year old orc/troll breed might be much more mature physically.
Also a lot of magic in the WoW world, who's to say a new "fountain of manhood" isn't to be discovered that when drunk from, instantly matures a toon.
I do think we can have some creative liberties for the sake of bringing something new to the game, race wise.
But...they aren't new; all they are slightly misshapen versions of the normal races, with an incredibly low racial population that would not be viable by any standards. Even then, while the orcs may 'mature' faster...you'd still have it mixed with another race. That's leaving out the whole 'let's kill these ten year olds in adult body thing'.
Also: Wildhammer Shamans, existed for a very long time, so the idea of your regular Dwarf hearing the Spirits is not a stretch.
