Try dealing with a diagnosed retarded person before you insult someone by calling them a retard. I had a cousin born with down syndrome last March; my family has helped my aunt raise him We love him to death, but he can be hard to deal with sometimes because he is somewhat deformed because he was born very early. He almost died in the hospital when he was born, and he had to stay in an incubator for a month before he was aloud to go home.
So: No, a retard isn't just "a stupid person." An idiot is a stupid person.

Idiot is a synonym to retard. Yes, retard is slang for someone who is mentally retarded. But it also means someone is is slow, pretty dumb. I didn't even use it as an insult, I said I am not a retard. Meaning I am not slow. If I said "I'm not mentally retarded," I would completely understand anyone being insulted, as that would be implying bad things about the disorder. However, I basically just said I'm not slow/stupid. I don't discriminate against anyone like that. ESPECIALLY intentionally.
@MyTie: To be quite honest, you pretty much troll the forums and pick on the weak, not all the time though, you share your opinion on things, not saying you're just a troll. However, you tried to twist my words around, I never meant anything like that and you know that. I'm not depressed at all. Although, a little part of me dies every time a teen does something obviously wrong and goes about justifying it, no matter how shabby looking the justification is, and actually believes the rubbish they are saying. Is it so much to say "Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe, just maybe, I could go about this a better way." Instead every kid lives in a consequence free environment of 1st amendment protection for every action they do, and everything they say. Worse, stupidity is encouraged and made the norm by society.

Hey now, I'm a teen. Adults do that crap just as often. The teens are often acting in such a disappointing manner because their parents didn't care enough to teach them values like respect, etc.
Other than my above paragraph, I agree with your statement.
I know. It's bad when adults do it too. However, I view teens as having so much more potential than adults. It's really really sad to see such disturbing actions so young. It hurts a little more.

Whats happened so far, I made a statement to jt because something he said was a bit rude to me. MyTie managed to twist my words around and make me seem like I'm discriminative and stupid. Now its been blown out of proportion and my parents apparently taught me nothing, at least, according to mytie and jtbm3.

You can talk about maturity about as much as you could teach a high level physics class. I would have a whole lot more respect for you if you would just say "I was wrong, sorry", and leave it at that. Calling me a troll is not going to stop my incoming criticisms. Why are you defending your position? Do you genuinely believe that you have done nothing offensive?
If you did believe it was offensive, and just didn't care, I could understand that. If you didn't genuinely didn't know, but were willing to learn, I could also understand that. But for you to continue defending something that is so obviously incorrect with such furvor... you're not impressing anyone.
