Ironic, isn't it?
I mean, ALL American citizens TOTALLY agreed with the decisions of Bush.
Yeah.
Nice.
You took what I said and tried to change it into the target for your own agenda.
ROW ROW FIGHT THE POWA
P.S Several of the cases I would refer to happened long before Bush. But aslong as you can't push your agenda with it, you couldn't care less, eh?

And ALL Americans TOTALLY agreed with those decisions.
I'm TOTALLY trying to change what you say, too.
I mean, I'm faking quotes and everything!
Completely unrelated, that's an AWESOME song.
(Well now you're looking for a fight.)
Hahahaha, this is great.
The American doth protest too much, methinks.
But anyway, I never said they did. But the fact is that America, as a country (not individually, person by person), is being hypocritical here. If you don't agree with it (hypocrisy) being done, why do you care that I'm simply pointing it out? By doing so you're admitting that it happens and that I'm right (hypocricsy is occuring).
(I AM WELL AWARE I COULD HAVE WORDED THIS BETTER. I DON'T CARE)
I'm TOTALLY trying to change what you say, too.
Thanks for admitting to that, too.

That was sarcasm, I wasn't admitting to something I didn't do.
I know, duh. That's sort of the point.
This quote now looks like you're purposefully blurring the line between individual and country.
Only because you want it too.
Because you picked out an individual and said "America".
As in, the whole nation.
I didn't pick an individual, actually. But please, name who you think I was talking about. I bet you're wrong.

Guess where the post you quoted came from?
An individual.
(BLAHBLAHBLAH)
So, you took what an
individual
said and talked about what a
country
did and shouldn't be doing.
Wait, what? I don't see what the problem is here. I quoted an individual said, yes. But I didn't talk about him.
You obviously didn't read the full topic...so I'll quote myself.
I quoted you but did not aim it at you. You just reminded me that I could make a EDGY comment, so I did.
He may not represent America...
But tell me that America hasn't mentioned breaking of international law when talking about NK.
Please do.

By quoting an individual, you implied that what a country does is supported by all of its citizens.
I'm confused here.
"What a county does". What are you talking about here? The act of breaking International Law, or the act of getting worried about said breaking International Law? Because I can't really argue this point because it's meaning is vastly different depending on your stance.
If you had simply said your original post without quoting anyone, I wouldn't have a problem with you. And, believe me, you could have.
So wait, wait. You're saying that making a joke about a country which can be read to say "*
This* (which I can find no evidence of anyone thinking) = opinion of nation
" is fine with you, but making a joke that can be misread as claiming "
opinion of one individual = opinion of nation
" isn't?
Right.

"edgy comment" != joke.
Ah, semantics.
And pointing out the irony of a nation's stance on something is fine, so long as you aren't quoting individuals that aren't in charge of said nation.
The joke(/edgy comment), like I said, was not aimed at him. You yourself admit that it is probably a view shared by individuals in charge of the nation. So, where's the problem?

Okay...non-sarcasm?

I fail at understanding your answer.
Indeed.

(nationalism is racism but instead of race, it is based on country)
Which makes it not racism at all. That's as ridiculous as:
A pie is a car, except it has nothing that a car has, and it is made of pie.

Pre-judging a people based on anything (incl. race, nation, religion, etc) are very similar wrongs. We have to be able to make some judgements in life. Like if I worked at a prison where the population were 50% child molesters, I wouldn't participate in the 'bring your kid to work day'. Am I prejuding the prison population?
Also if I were to take a vacation to Iran, I probably would be leery of police, government officials, important looking people... generally anyone I suppose. Would I be pre judging them? Yes. Would it keep my American butt out of prison? It would help.
Judgeing everyone negatively because they arent you.... not ok. Not judgeing anyone because everyone is equal and the world is full of licorice and fuzzy teddy bears... equally stupid.
