First of all, this is a thread in which I will ask for help, if you are not interested in helping me, then please, keep moving, nothing to see here. Well, next year I am going to collage, and I have two things to choose, medicine or physics, each has it's own ups and downs, but before I go any further, you have to know a couple of things:
1) Both my parents are doctors.
2) I like physics more.
Now, I have no idea what to choose; If I choose medicine, I will probably find a job easier, if I choose physics, I will probably have to go to another country to find a job (physics majors work as teachers here :S, also, finding another place to go too will be relatively hard for me); I will disappoint a lot of people if I choose physics (my parents wanted me to be a doctor ever since I was a kid, and I did to, but I changed my mind); I like medicine, but I simply love physics. I know medicine= more money, but as long as I have enough money for a small house and a car, I am happy, since I am doing something I like. I know this thread is a bit stupid, but anyway, what do you all think?

A question and a suggestion from me:
The question: What do you like about physics?
The suggestion: Why not something like the bio-medical engineering field?

Well, to be honest, I like it because I am sort of good in it, and it is so intertesting. No, I don't like engineering

Physics.
qft imo.
However, it is your choice and your choice only.
Yeah I agree. If your parents really care about you, they'd want you to do what you enjoy and are good at. If they don't care, then you shouldn't care what they think.

Yea, I know it's my choice, I just want your opinion ( Please state a reason for you choice).
Edit: It's not that they just want me to do what they want, my mum cares about me, so she wants me to choose the major which is more likely to get a job, and gets more cash (because like I said earlier, I will not find a job in my country with a degree in physics).

Don't you live in Egypt? (Not that its a bad thing) Didn't you say somewhere earlier you'd like to be somewhere else like in the recycle bin? Physics would be good then, especially since you like it better. Also, would you do medicine because YOU like it, or because because its a bit easier and your parents both have careers in it?
Yes, I want to move out of Egypt, but that might not be possible, (muslim etc.). Actually, physics would be easier for me, I hate biology and am not really good in it.
I really just don't want to give up on medicine beacue of three thing: It would disappoint a lot of people if I didn't choose medicine (my mother and father, mainly), it would be easier for me to find a job, and because I wanted to be a doctor when I was a little kid (but I like physics more now).

I would say go the physics route if you're not very much into or good at biology. I'd be lying if I told you that you wouldn't face prejudice in a lot of the Western World, but I don't think it's anything you should take too heavily into consideration, if that's what the muslim comment was about.
No, I realize what
might
happen if I move there ( my dad's friend who moved to America, got spit at everywhere he went after 9/11, another family was killed by a mob, also after 9/11 and they weren't even muslims just arabs) but I think the ups are more then the downs.
ashelmy, being muslim, while it could possibly affect your travel (racist guards in airports etc.) will not completely bar you from moving to most European or North American countries
Actually, there is a chance that they refuse to give me a visa. But I will try to improve my chances as much as I can.
Edit: grammar fail :D.

Wow. That sounds pretty bad.

I wish people wouldn't hate others.
I wouldn't say that. I just wish people wouldn't express their hated.

Being religious you should know money isn't everything.
My dad wanted me to be a financial adviser or something, more money. I wanted to be a biologist due to my love of animals and science, I'm doing biology at university now.
