Chuck a Titanium chain on the LPC - the hit is nice
With money being easy to earn and mongoose not that expensive I would recommend that, unless you are really poor.
Oh and you are missing +12crit +12hit on boots, get it asap.
edit: you are also using a green gem in your T7 chest, as well as running with an unenchanted cloak.

High AP is not the key stat for Mutilate like it is for combat. A drop in AP is expected when regemming/chanting from combat to Mutilate and will not kill your DPS.
Get the Trollwoven Girdle and possibly the Spaulders as well for now. Spaulders of Egotism are ok, but they don't have the stats you need (i.e. Expertise).
Replace the 50AP enchant with 15 expertise on your bracers. And if you're still short, replace the 16agi gems with 16 expertise.

Go by MAEP. For fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants changes, ShadowPanther is solid. The higher the MAEP, the better for Mutilate something is. Spaulders of Egotism have a MAEP of 198, Trollwoven Spaulders have a MAEP of 155. The difference is enormous.
When you have time, go get Vulajin's fan-updated spreadsheet for 3.1. Plug in your gear and see how you can improve. Statcaps are absolutely, positively not the holy grail. 315 hit is "ideal," but there are a lot of circumstances in which your DPS will actually improve by dropping below that cap.
When will people learn... MAEP != DPS. The formulas used for MAEP values do not take into account the spec used. Expertise and hit rating have completely different "values" depending on mut/combat spec and how much you already have.
And for the record, 315 hit rating is only ideal if you're soloing the bosses, which you're not. 200-230 hit rating is sufficient to make sure your poisons stick most of the time without giving up too much else in other stats. Most players should be able to get this with just their gear and an enchant/gem or two.
I pulled 4.8K on Patch25 on Tuesday with the gear I've got (check armory - I was using an LPC OH, T7 chest, and Mind-Expanding leggings for that run) and
6.7K on Thadd
. Just saying you can get higher with combat means nothing if your gear isn't targeted towards the spec.

I think Kimjael was referring to "fly by the seat of your pants" decisions when upgrading, not tested, tried, and true upgrades. For instance, I have
concealment shoulderpads
, which are good, but have a lower MAEP score. I also have 4/5 T7 but the T7 shoulders drop off saph. If I remove replace my Concealment shoulders with the T7 then i need to regem for expertise. It's hard to tell whether this is gonna be better, and I don't spreadsheet &*!@ ON THE SPOT. I know for a fact , though, that the T7 has a higher MAEP score, but overall, I am not sure how much regemming is gonna effect my dps.
In this case, I use the item MAEP score to decide whether I should roll. I know, because I tested it, that I wouldn't roll on the T7 shoulders, because as a Mutilate rogue, there is just too much DPS relinquished in that loss of expertise + the re-gem.
In many cases, though, I would not know that.

@black - that's fine. If you're trying to figure out whether or not to roll on something, MAEP is fine for that. I've got a stash of gear in my bank that I can switch back and forth to in order to help out with balancing stats. However, we're not in a "fly by the seat of your pants" decision making process here, so it's a moot point.
Before the OP went back to a combat spec, he was asking about information on Mutilate. Dispite the lower MAEP score, the Trollwovens are better for starting gear than the Egotism shoulders, simply because they'll get him to the dodge cap faster. 25 or 26 expertise is key to maintaining a solid rotation as mut spec, so it's a must have, especially when first learning how it works.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that the Trollwovens are the best gear you can get (or, on their own are "better" than the Egotism shoulders), but they've got the stats that he was lacking.
