that is the only viable build, but backstab is no good, especially for raid situations since you won't always be behind your target, in which case you will not be able to use your combo point builder. There are also a lot of wasted talent points. Additionally, it is a bad combo point builder and will really strain your rotation. Go mutilate instead.
this thread
has a good description of the pros and cons if you want to try it out. You will be gimped a few hundred dps though, even with end game gear.

Blackmarquetbaby... your build is wrong.
this is the
viable build
. This is the variation on the
viable build
.
The things you said about the build are also wrong.
What "lots of" wasted talent points?
What rotation are you using that would be strained with lack of cps? SnD and Rupture are all you need. Read the thread you referenced if you want to give advice.
Draevin, don't listen to him.

yeah, sorry, was at work, wasn't thinking
boot's right, but I still show a drop in dps, and the positional requirements are not so great.
also, why improved ss?

The improved ss used to be Throwing Specialization, but I realized that for some fights, the positional requirement is unreliable (Thaddius) - so since the build is very similar to the cookie Fist/dagger combat, just switch in a fist for that fight and Sinister strike your way through it. It will get less dps than the backstab, but it's useful to have as an option.
I'd also suggest that 15/51/5 would be viable and perhaps a bit smoother with the energy return from 3/5 RS. Vile Poisons loses quite a bit of its luster if you don't Envenom much. It's basically a standard Combat build with a different CP generator. Your raid rotation is going to be something like 5s/5r/5e.
This is true. It's viable, but does slightly less dmg than with the Vile Poisons. Even without the envenoms, you can't underestimate the power of 20% extra poison damage.
I'd try it out anyways though, you might like it more.
