Mana issues with Disc

Hello everyone. Been a long time lurker here.. thought I would get courage to post.
My main concern is this. I have been instancing my way to 70 so I thought I would stick to what I know, Discipline. I have been playing around with spec's recently but feel maybe I am missing the mark on my current spec. This si the reason why:
I healed Settek Halls last night with 2 DK's a Lock and a hunter and I ran out of mana almost every pull. Granted there was no clear tank and one of the DK's, who wasn't a tank clearly, had aggro issues. I was trying to keep a renew up on the 2 DK's with main FH's going to the tank DK. I also had to throw heals onto the hunter occasionally.
Now from what I have noticed from 3.1 is that I am having mana issues now with DIsc.. much more then recently. I have been Disc from about 30 or so, so feel that maybe I am somewhat experienced with it.
Can someone examine and give some tips on my current build? Here is my armory link
http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Caelestrasz&n=Xanctum
Also, my main rotation on heals would prolly be: Shield, renew, FH, maybea PS thrown in. Obvious heals to DPS when needed.
Something to mention.. I think I am having mana issues mainly with multiple DK's in the group. i don't think they can mitigate damage that well tbh at my level. Any thoughts or help would be great... thanks heaps!

There is nothing wrong with spec or gear for your level. Just curious you got relative expensive gems but not even cheap enchants? =p For the price of runed you can get two gloves enchant on my server, maybe you got different prices?
Also where is penance? Penance is your bread and butter. Your most efficient healing spell, something you want to spam every cooldown when there is a lot of damage.
Please say you use Penance and just forgot to mention it.

lol.. well *blush* I just got pennance recently. i just respec'd about 4 days ago and filled my Disc out. I have used it but not as my bread and butter. Just not used to it yet.
As for my chants.. I only got them from a friend. Bought the gems. Haven't bought any chants. Was thinking about getting some but honestly I don't know what to get.. any suggestions?
Cheers.
P.S. will definitely add pennance from now on :)

Just spam Penance for a few mins and you notice without any other spells it takes quite some time for getting oom.
As for enchants I got a list with mats lying around
here
.
But my main point was that "
Enchant Gloves - Exceptional Spellpower
" is so cheap compared to a gem it's weird to see gems of a good kind but not even that enchant. ;)

Just be more selective about your healing and you should be fine.
Penance as your main tank heal spell.
Flash Heal for everyone else or when Penance is on cooldown.
Renew only for when the tank is taking so much damage that you can't bring him back up in 3 Flash Heals.
Prayer of Mending is to be your friend.
Power Word: Shield should always be on the tank and can save an aggro'd dps.
So out of all this, there's only one change you need to make: Don't waste Renews on dps. These are pretty expensive for the little benefit Discipline has on them, so they should only be used when absolutely needed. Learn to identify when that is.

Thanks you heaps for the replies. They were very helpful. I am not very good at detailed explanations... but from some of the posts above my ehaling rotation isn't too far off. I will add more PoM and have used penance as of last night pretty heartily. A lot different for me being this is my first priest.
The later posts are pretty on to it. I think my luck with decent groups is hideous. My luck for good guilds to group with is horrendeous. I have had horrid groups lately wheret he tank cannot mitigate damage, dps cannot wait for a threat lead from tank and my mana suffers and hence we wipe. Honestly in the last 2 years or so playing I have only encountered one decent guild that I have joined.. but it was primarily an 80 guild.. not much interest for lowbies like me.
Again, thanks for the posts. I am sure with some new tips I have read I will be underway without problems in the very near future.

Did you think of getting
Soul Warding
yet? Cheaper shields = more mana from rapture = less mana problems.
Good point. I am halfway to 67.. so that will be my next talent spent. I do love shielding :)

Ya...that is a very cheap enchantment...I could get the mats for about 20g on my server. It's so cheap that just a few days ago I gave it to another disc priest in the pug I was in.
Go with the cheaper enchants, even if that means using chants from TBC.
Major Spellpower
to your weapon would give you +40 more sp for hardly anything. At least on my server, mats from TBC are retartedly cheap. Granted, my computer won't show what you do or don't have on your gear on wowarmory, so you may have enchants by now and I'd never know.

I just meant he got Runed Scarlet Rubies in his gear. On my server those are 50-75g (And normal Scarlet Rubies a lot more ><). Compared to 20-30g for the enchant it's odd to see Runed Scarlet Rubies but not that enchant. ;P
It's just looked odd. I'm not saying that enchant is a must have or that he needs that enchant. ;)

Okay I'm probably about to make things more difficult with getting groups for you but something you might want to start is telling the DPS "If you pull a mob to you and your not saving me at the time then don't expect more than 1 shield. If you still have angry mob on you after shield is gone then say goodnight.". It's tough love but some DPS don't seem to understand that healers are there to insure that the tank doesn't die so that you the healer in turn won't die. Almost every DPS has skills for survival, even a mage, so if they pull agro they better either use those skills to survive or use an agro dropping ability. You may get a few complaints here and there but most people that have healed an instance at least once will understand unless they're an elitist. At the same time if it is just a matter of an unexpected pat showing up then don't feel bad by wanting to heal the DPS a bit since it might not have been their own fault for getting the agro to begin with.
Use your best judgement but remember that without you the group is pretty much dead people walking. Don't be a tyrant but don't be a doormat either.
This is good advice. I do tend to remain quiet and hope the group likes my heals. I guess I have been solo for so long that sometimes I don't get group dynamics. I am learning slowly though.. I did let the dps die fairly regularly last night.. told him he must have some spare coin he doesnt mind parting with... he laughed and changed his style.. was nice. And my heal rotation was pretty sweet... not many mana issues to note at all.. just my own probs with healing dps here and there..
And about the gems.. they were about 20-30g each.. mats on my server are about that each as well. So I thought the easiest way was gem it. I have never socketed my stuff before.. thought it was a nice addition. I asked last night for major spellpower and he wanted 40g for it. Thought I would wait till I got higher level so I dont replace my gear with real expensive chants on them. Plus I can take my gems with me.
Thanks again for the input :)
