Hello there GH fans!
First of all - Which, in your opinion, is the best guitar hero/rock band and why?
which song was the hardest?
And last but not least - How do you do the really hard bit of Metallica - One? on hard difficulty?
:P

I prefer Rock Band 2. Everything about it is pretty awesome, I love the character customization, the tracklist, the DLC and nearly all of the songs are just generally enjoyable to play.
I just picked up World Tour and I must say I'm not incredibly impressed (as most weren't, so I hear). The song selection (and DLC) is pretty mediocre and the charts aren't very much fun, either. Sadface. At least I have a decent Guitar Hero controller now that I can use to play the previous Guitar Hero games that
didn't
suck (as my Rock Band 2 controller isn't compatible). Even still, Guitar Hero controllers are damn uncomfortable in comparison.

I love that game. I got Guitar Hero 3 for PS3 two years ago, and I've been playing ever since. But recently my PS3 broke, so a friend borrowed me his PC version as he didn't play anymore.
I've only played Guitar Hero 3, and tried a bit of Guitar Hero 2 at my cousin's place. I think they are equally good, song-wise, but, performance-wise, Guitar Hero 3 > 2. I haven't tried World Tour yet, but when I get my PS3 fixed, and some money, I will get it. The studio thing sounds too good to be true. Oh, and I should get GH: Metallica when it comes out...
Through the Fire and Flames is the hardest (of course). But if we ignore that, then I think Raining Blood (Slayer), or The Way It Ends (Prototype I think) is the hardest. If we are talking about expert of course.
I love One. The solo part is amazing, and I practiced for some days, before I could survive it, and even more time before I could actually "play" the song to the end. In the start, I just started hitting all buttons, but if you practice it, then you can follow the rhythm and go for it :) I can't really remember the whole solo, as it is quite some time since I played it, but I hope you can make it :) If it is the last song you need on story mode, then I can say one thing:
You can beat Raining Blood and Number of the Beast, but not One?
Anyway, good luck ^^

I played it two times, until I found out that it's just a horse for the industry to flog on.
So, I'll enjoy my Stepmania and my dancing-mat. Atleast that gives me a workout. :P

RB2 is much better in my opinion.
GH were the originals, but since the release of Drums and Vocals, I think the GH side of Harmonix got bitter, so released GH:WT.
I like the GH gear better, but in terms of systems and play, RB.
(So many breaks in combo trying to activate Star Power... The horror...)
EDIT: My hand gets tired playing Panic Attack by Dream Theatre, but I could probably FC Green Grass and High Tides by The Outlaws.

I have GH:WT and I've tried RB2 at my friends place, and I think I like RB2 better, not that the difference is all that noticable though. Maybe with drums and vocals you notice it more, I have only tried a full band playing RB2, so im not sure how they compare (only got 1 guitar myself)
