Suppose I can get a refund?

This Sunday, May 5th, I spent 95 Emblems of Heroism on some boomkin gear (trinket, hit belt, idol). However, I've now realized that if I wanted caster dps, I have my mage; if I want melee dps, I can just change forms, as my main spec is tanking, so I figured I actually want *resto* to be my offspec, NOT balance. I'm pretty sure I'm over the 2 hour return limit (assuming its based on time played; if not, I'm well over the 2 hour limit), but I really don't want to lose these emblems. I used the gear to screw around in a couple of arenas and a heroic, thinking I would stick with balance.
If I opened a ticket, do you suppose I could get the emblems back in exchange for the gear? Or maybe not back to emblems, but in exchange for other pieces of gear? Thanks!

Doubt it, but you can always try.

Blizzard is usually pretty decent when it comes to refunding you on Stonekeeper Shards and/or Badges. I forgot to mail my BoA Exp Shoulders from my first Death Knight when I deleted it, so they were deleted along with the character. I simply opened a ticket and told them my situation, they immediately gave me 200 Stonekeeper Shards and I went and bought a new pair.
However, they aren't very decent when it comes to refunding you gold on certain items/situations. When I first leveled my Paladin, I figured it'd just be easier to buy Epic Ground Mount training and the Blood Elf racial mount, rather than doing the Paladin Mount Quest Chain, which would cost me time and gold anyhow. I had dinged 61 and my epic mount still wasn't trainable, (the warlock can train for their epic mount at level 61 for a meaning 10 or so gold without having to do that annoying quest-chain anylonger). Well, when it wasnt' available to train, I sent 600 gold from my main and went and bought the training from Silvermoon. Turns out, it's level 63 on a Paladin when you can train for your Epic Mount. Not too sure why the Warlock's is 61 and the Paladin's is 63, but whatever.
Well, I opened a ticket, explained my situation, asked for a refund on my 600 Gold, but they refused due to the fact that I had already trained for the Epic Mount. I don't understand, the training itself was the whole reason I opened a ticket. The mount itself was only 85 gold, the training was 500, but whatever, I guess.
You might as well give it a shot.

Not the same item, but I tried to get a Refund for the Black War Mammoth after I found out it just gets stuck in half the places on Azeroth, and ended up using my other mounts because of that. Anyway, I asked a GM if they could just refund me the shards, I got told that it is not their policy to give refunds, and not possible either. Can try but I doubt you'd get the badges back.
