Is
this
build any good for healing? I am currently my guild's secondary healer if/when we do raids, but I'm seeing a lot of action as the healer for 5-man dungeons lately, so I s'pose this is going to be the diverse healing build, post suggestions, of course. Be honest.

A good all around holy spec is hard to make and I must say your spec looks almost like one of my "favorite all around spec" (
This one)
Nice job, but let me point out three things:
1) Not maxed out mediation. Mediation is like your battery of healing and provides the biggest increase in mana regen of all talents. A must have to have 3/3.
2) Body and Soul. Al trough a great tool in the right hands it's full potential lies within Ulduar and only fits in a "pure" raid healing spec. If you want a all around spec Body and Soul is going from valuable points. If you want a pure raid healing spec there is room for Body and Soul. (If you really want to use Body and Soul check out
this topic
(and read the comments))
3) Next to that there is room for personal touches and because of different play styles, experiences and opinions the last points will always be different depending on which player you ask. I guess the bare minimum of an all around spec lies within
This Spec
and gives 6 points for personal touches
You can choose out:
Maxing out Empowered Renew
Test of Faith
Inner Focus
Lightwell
Healing Prayers
Holy Reach
All are valid options.

Yeah, I really wanted a maxed out meditation, but couldn't figure out where to get that one point from. I s'pose I forgot to mention that in my first post; apologies.
I do want a maxed out Empowered Renew, as it's really useful, and 5% can make quite a difference.
Test of Faith... I was not sure how important it was, but my thought was, "Well, if we buy the farm, then this could REALLY come in handy..." but I s'pose one point won't make that big a difference.
I was toying with getting Inner Focus, but the whole 'not-having-an-extra-point' screwed me over.
I use lightwells. If my party/raid don't, then they're stupid. I constantly yell at them, and they actually do use them.
With Healing Prayers, the 20% mana decrease tempted me, but I didn't think it would be THAT useful. I must think more on that.
Holy Reach: Really? I didn't think it'd be that important.
Body and Soul, I want for two reasons: I get to remove poison from myself. I have been wanting that as soon as I started priest. Two, the movement speed can be hella useful in certain boss battles when we need to haul ass.
I'm thinking of removing Test of Faith from my build completely and reallocationg the points to max Meditation, one to Inner Focus, and one to Healing Prayers.
Thoughts?

It would help to know what you are raiding. Healing Prayers is much stronger in Ulduar then in Naxxramas, same goes for Test of Faith and Body and Soul.
Holy reach is especially nice in heroics/naxxramas when people tend to spread out like everyone else has some kind of diseases. And then when they need to spread out they clump together and die together. As you may notice it depends on your group and your experience.
Inner Focus is powerful together with a AoE spells. It's awesome to see 5-6 crits and healing for 50k with one CoH. Lightwell is powerful when people use it. I once had 5 people with it and it ticked 20k total healing.
The problem with all around spec is is that you cannot skip any talents and you want all talents. So like I said before the last points will always be your personal touched to spec and people will always advice different things based on their opinions. (Like me and Holy Reach. They are a lot people that say the range doesn't matter because it's 3-6 yards. But that can save lives already!)

I suppose it would be useful to know what I'm gonna run, but I don't know myself yet. We're (my guild) still fairly small and can only do instances, but I'd like to raid as well.
Holy Reach does sound more and more intriguing, but I feel that a good Body and Soul bubble will help me cover ground to make up for Holy Reach. I do understand that it's a personal touch, and I do understand that it's helpful, but that's the point of this thread, ain't it? To throw ideas around?
This
is the revised build.
Any more input?

If you want ideas just check out
A review of Holy Talents
. It's s fairly neutral guide (hard to be neutral TBH). And at least show you my opinion. Kinda copy pasting it in here anyways.
All I can say it's hard to help someone who doesn't know what he is going to do. I cannot make a build thats suitable for tank healing, raid healing, heroic healing, Naxx and Ulduar. :<
Just play with the build for some time and when you got the feeling certain aspect aren't used you can also ask how to use it or respec. ;P
In the base there is nothing wrong with your spec, only things other people would do differently.

Thanks, guys.
I suppose I'll keep this thread alive by posting my finding and what helped. Maybe this'll end up helping some new holy healer.
